I was searching the net for some Matchbook info, when I came across this little piece by bookmakersreview.com. While it states financial troubles by WSEX & Matchbook have been largely known and reported by SBR they go on to state that SBR has attempted to bury recent BetPhoenix issues due to the fact SBR rides shotgun on BP's affiliate program:
Troubles in paradise: WSEX, Matchbook, BetPhoenix and BetHorizon
Antigua based WSEX, according to SBR, owes a quarter of a million dollars to over 30 players, while WSEX sister site Matchbook is rumoured to have allegedly lost large amounts of money extending credit lines to a number of market makers on its betting exchange. Meanwhile a member of poker forum twoplustwo compiled a list of "BetPhoenix greatest hits" that included all issues players have had with BetPhoenix in regards with competency and integrity: hacked accounts, slow pays and last but not least, funds transferred to a Moneybooker account other than the one of the customer.
Players also asked whether BetPhoenix has an agreement with Sportsbook Review to keep BP complaints off the SBR homepage. Curiously Bookmakers Review has heard that Sportsbook Review powers BetPhoenix affiliate program. If that's the case, it would explain why BP problems do not make the SBR homepage.
Bonus hunters' darling BetHorizon seems to have hit a bump, with players reporting slow pays both on European forums and SBR. While the Costa Rican sports book indicates in the banking system the responsible for the delays, deposits seem to work just fine (as they always do) and no mention of delays is anywhere to be found on the bookmaker's web site on the page dedicated to payments.
WSEX (2) downgraded to the Red list for multiple slow payments.
Horizon Sports downgraded to 2 (2.5) for slow pay.

Does anyone share the opinion of bookmakersreview or is this just nonsense and another forum / reviewer taking a shot at SBR? Always thought SBR was a fair place but I can see how a business relationship with a sponsor may cloud things.
Are things at BetPhoenix getting out of hand?
