BookiesForum suggesting that BetPhoenix is a SCAM sportsbook?

    Greetings

Any veterans know how reputable this forum (BookiesForum) has been in the past and why they print such a story?

    Love,

    Concerned BetPhoenix Member

    Bet Phoenix - SCAM Sportsbook

Bet Phoenix has all the WARNING of an Online Sportsbook destined to fail.

There are many Sportsbooks out there operated by questionable ownership; but Bet Phoenix has placed thier operation in a category all by themselves.

The owner is a known scumbag weasel; that has no problem lying to staff, agents, and finding ways to slow pay players. Bet Phoenix ownership has also surrounded themselves with incompetent marketing staff; hiring the past marketing manager from Bet Cascade, who almost single handily put that company out of business.

As far back as 2003 the ownership of Bet Phoenix, have a history NOT paying employees and affiliates. It is just a matter of time before this scam Sportsbook starts stiffing their players. Back in 2002 the owner of Bet Phoenix, then a partner with Diamond Sportsbook closed up shop and moved it players under the CRIS umbrella, stiffing their entire staff thier severance pay, and leaving them without a job.

Bet Phoenix is currently stacking up a huge number of complaints, by tricking customers into signing up an account by with outrageous bonus offers, changing wager rules to avoid payouts, bait and switch tactics.

Customer service is obviously low on their priority list. Thier CS team practice the slow pay tactics often used by scam and high risk books:

    * They target new and unsuspecting customers by offering too good to be true bonuses
    * Host a professionally designed web site tricking new customers into thinking they are a veteran Sportsbook

It is easy however to see why unwitting customers are easily duped by this scam sportsbook that offers extensive sporting events, a casino, bingo hall, horse book. Plus attractive wager types that include straight, parlays (2 to 15 teams) , teasers (2 to 7 teams. 4 to 16 points), buy points / pick pitchers, futures / props, action reverse, if win or push and if win only.

Bet Phoenix offers 3rd party deposit methods include ********** / **** credit card, ***, Moneybookers, Neteller, and cash transfer; all these 3rd deposit methods give them more reasons to delay your payouts.

Here are 2 of the most common sportsbook scams being used by Bet Phoenix

    1. New Sportsbook with Large Bonuses (75%, 100%, 125% or more) - this is a very common tactic of new operations that don't know what they are doing. They open a new sportsbook (especially around football season) and offer large bonuses to get players to sign-up. Their business model is flawed from the beginning and will eventually lead to financial troubles, slow/no-pay disputes and eventual shutdown. Also beware of offers that combine High Bonuses with Reduced Juice, or Lines (odds) that are way out there. Remember: If a promotion looks too good to be true, it probably is.

    2. Telemarketing or Cold-Calling - is a sign of desperation that the book may be getting ready to run for the hills. Scam telemarketers will use a variety of tactics to get their hands on your money. Some try to bully you, while others will charm you. In many cases it is a single high-pressure call or other pressure tactics requiring immediate decisions (usually to make a deposit). Watch out for anything that sounds fishy.

Be carefull depositing funds with Bet Phoenix you may never see them again. Bettors are strongly urged to stay away from Bet Phoenix. If you have built up a large balance we strongly advise that you start to withdraw the funds in small increments and sign up with one of the more reputable sportsbooks listed on Bookies Forum.

Do not confuse Bet Phoenix with Phoenix Sportsbetting, which is part of the RDG Corp

We welcome your input, please Contact The Bookie to share your scam sportsbook experiences, about Bet Phoenix.

Great article! I would never play with them to begin with. They do keep on calling me for me to make a deposit. Nothing that they have interests me one bit. I play with the best, Heritage and Heritage only.

I like Phoenix but I also like my money. Not worth gambling if you never see a payout. Can someone from SBR step in here address this article?

No bashing here. I have a balance there and the only reason I haven't withdrew to date is because of SBR. I want the truth....god damn it.

I think we might be getting a little carried away with our accusations to the book.

Regarding cold calling: Bookmaker does the same thing. Betphoenix is probably a little more friendly and professional about it.

So you have some money deposited in BP....of course you want to be assured your money is safe. Maybe a couple books are exceptionally safe, but there is always some risk in having your money in a sportsbook. It can be worrisome when it takes a little while to get your money, but it seems that betphoenix has always paid out to its customers. I don't think there is any sound reasoning to think you won't get paid at this time. Bodog had huge payout delays, but they're back at it now. So let's suppose their check processor is down for a couple weeks, and there is some poor service at betphoenix, and it takes a few weeks to get your payment. Is this really reason to freak out and say betphoenix is going down. I have money at betphoenix, too, and I do worry, but I think we're going a little overboard with the betphoenix drama.

Look at their "scam sportsbooks" page - they only list BP and SBG. Hardly a thorough listing, which leads me to question the reputation of the review site.

They also promote something called Brobury Sports....

    About Us

“Funny time to launch a new book,” some friends said to us when we told them about our plans to launch BroburySports.com in 2008. And, it’s true, the industry is not without its challenges today.
But that’s also where we seen the opportunity.
Between the monsters where you’re just a number and the old guys with rap sheets who are really just street corner bookies brought online, there’s a space for true online entrepreneurs who happen to love sports betting and online casino games. That’s us.
We’re new, but the boss has been in the industry since it started and the rest of us not far behind.
We’re small, but we use the robust betting and processing platform of the best.
As the wife calls it, we’re “boutique.” That means we can, no, we MUST, provide a more personalized service for our customers, and be the industry’s first five-star sportsbook. No bimbos, no billionaires, no bullshit.
Your calls for deposit and withdrawals requests go to our platform’s customer service center as usual. But as soon as you sign up with Brobury Sports, you’re assigned a personal player rep who contacts directly by email (or sms or IM or phone or however you prefer to be contacted after the initial email). Your rep is there to help you overcome any issues you have with the betting platform, to keep you better informed and to stay on top of your account and anything happening to it.
We’re in the loop, working on your behalf, to see that you get true five star service. So enjoy. And drop me a note at any time: jwoodley@broburysports.com This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
    Cheers

    Here's their review of SBR

John Walker is the owner of SBR, they have had a history of padding there own wallets by giving lower type books higher rating for the cash.
Bill Dozer is the guy in charge of rating the sportsbooks. He has been caught in numerious silly lies and the famous lie where he claimed he has been betting on sports since he was 7.
