Sub-par books that run vanilla lines - why post?

Why on earth would someone post with books like BetSportsWeb, BetOnline, or BetPhoenix? What is the appeal of posting at a book like this, which you only might get paid at, or have to deal with a bunch of bull ?

These books just have the normal line set copy/pasted from CRIS, 5Dimes, or TheGreek. I can understand taking a chance with BetEd, SportsInteraction, BetUS, BoDog or these other lower class books that may or may not pay, but have basically a free 1pt on every game, so you will probably win in the long run, as long as you stay disciplined to just bet the off lines.

I'm curious as hell to see if anyone has an intelligent answer to this one.

People usually post up @ those books because of the bonues they are offering @ the time....I posted Deposited @ Phx after gettting tons of freeplay only cause they where offering reduced juice

I'm playing at Phoenix with a bonus 'bought' with SBR-points.
Nice lines, hope they'll pay in the end.

Guess I'll test the pay out first and then I'll probably redeposit, even though my limits on soccer are $250.

I would definitely not put betphoenix in this category.

Get a clue, Frogger. BetPhoenix has 105 lines that sometimes beat Matchbook Lines. And BP pays quickly every time for me.

I think the answer to the general question is promos and bonuses. They won't retain players without more. Good vip service (Heritage) and top flight software (Bodog) can go a long way. But the books mentioned all have some unique lines. All must-haves for the current market with the exception of betsportsweb. Out of market lines there should be a warning sign.

Tomato figured he started the thread to talk about Justbet.

    BetOnline's lines are vanilla?

    LOL!

I didn't know BP offer -105 and actually thought Betonline offered them. This actually does sound like a book to post with, and I'll give them a $500 shot to see how it goes. Good info.

HedgeHog, ur an idiot for telling me to get a clue when I'm obviously asking a decent education question, but didn't have all the facts on BetPhoenix. I didn't say I knew, hence the question. When someone complains about OT being part of their 2nd half wager, you can tell someone to get a clue. Otherwise your just being dumb.

Phoenix lines have always been opinionated. 105 or 110. but i don't want to give up my 105. 2 years ago, BOL has the most opinionated lines any where. I believe there linesman was panamanian and was always "meaning to adjust" the line. Current BOL lines are still non-vanilla at 105. new software sucks tho.

How can I get 105 at BOL? I would like that very much.

I personally don´t play at books until they pass the 3 year mark in the industry. I played at Betonline last year and found they had different numbers from time to time. I am currently playing at Phoenix and find unique numbers there constantly.

What experience did you have at either one that led you to think they were a clone shop? I am curious to see what your top 3 books are. Actually give me your top 3 pillars of the industry and your top 3 not so well known books.

Think you had to be "grandfathered" for that.

Frogger and Big Daddy fighting it out in a Mensa debate for the ages. Who will win this titantic struggle of mental strength, a colossal battle of two hardened warriors whose respective syndicates probably win millions every year.

    My Top Books

Top 3 main books are: CRIS, Greek, & Pinny.

-- you can have a huge number at either of these places and never worry about your funds ever.

For my other top books, that have always been paid from:

Jungle Wager -- best software, vanilla lines but wide variety of props, very low limits

PTM -- opinionated lines, normal software, high limits, few props

BuckeyeSports -- very opinionated lines, horrid software, low limits, few props

Macho -- average software, average lines, average limits

I have heard of PTM and Buckeye but not Macho and Jungle. Are they postup operations or do you go through an agent?

By "get a clue", I simply meant the premise of your question was flawed. BetPhoenix is not a vanilla Book by any stretch, and I know you'll like it there.

BetPhoenix's lines are pretty vanilla if they've taken away your reduced juice.

    Macho Sports is on DonBest

    PTM = PlayTheMint

I was basically naming books that I have had a positive experience with in the past, that are outside the mainstream. Not playing with all of them currently, but would feel comfortable with a 10k balance in any of those.

    Some post & some credit.
