    Most don't mind.

But best to ask them directly.

Specifically, which books in particular have been known to not accept VPN use?

Even the ones who allow it may see it as a reason to ask for ID at withdraw time. If you take a bonus or bet the limit it will be more likely.

But I think "none" of the well known offshores actually ban use of a VPN.

Thank you for the information Optional. I read horror stories on SBR about some players not being paid. I just want to make sure I don't ever become one of those.

This is the reason I wouldn't do it if I were you. Too many issues reported at SBR. Why do you need to use a VPN?

A family member of mine has had their online bank account hacked into and money stolen twice. So, I am a believer in doing all I can to maximize my online security.

Maybe set up 2FA? Sportsbooks are pretty secure. As long as someone doesn't hack your account and steal your phone you should be good. Most shops require a phone call or some type of 2FA for a withdrawal. That kind of security is tough to beat.

This is a no-brainer. Dont do it. While youre "maximizing" your security, you risk not getting paid whatever you have at books that will be pissed off. Some dont care, others do not like it, some wont pay you or make you go through hell.

    ALWAYS read T&Cs for starters.

Most of us get in trouble when we think we are being diligent by acting on advice from customer service. Instead of asking C/S what you can or cannot do, you are better off asking WHERE in their T&Cs can you get info about VPN usage.

Most well known A+ rated books on SBR *allow VPN usage by default. At the same time they also have specific T&Cs that are applicable to certain individuals located in certain jurisdictions. If you are using a VPN, the book will always know and if this prevents the book from determining where you are physically operating from you will get flagged and lose certain privileges or get banned in drastic cases (I.e. if you were trying to pretend that you were located in a certain jurisdiction that you are not and were taking advantage of programs specific for that jurisdiction)

Always check with them beforehand. If you accidentally trigger a security review, it looks much worse when it turns out to be a VPN.

Dont do it. There is a black list of all VPN services. Unless you have a custom made solution, an IP used only from you, avoid VPNs.

All depends on the book. Be ready for KYC regardless though

I've been questioned by BetOnline about my VPN use before cashout a few times but they have since stopped bothering me about it. I mostly did not use a VPN there but once in a while I forgot that my VPN was still on when I logged in. It was just a question of why I was using it and a standard answer was enough for them. I think how aggressive they are about it will depend on your account history. I've been using them with no issue for years and rarely log on from a VPN
