    Bitcoin atm........better than I thought

Well today I was bored and googled bitcoin atm near me. Much to my surprise it was showing 1 about 10 minutes from my house. Went there and walked through the EASY steps and within 5 minutes from putting cash into atm & scanning the QR code from blockchain the $$$ was in my Bovada acct. Cheaper & more anonymous than using bank debit card. Now I will only have to use bank when I have payouts.
The atm has a question of sending less than $900 or more than $900......simple to use!!! If my little ole town has a bitcoin atm then I'm sure most of yours will have one close by. Now I can deposit w/o paying the HIGH fee at bank for international transactions. This will be my #1 way of getting $$$ to my accounts offshore.

If you buy less than $900 all you need is a mobile phone that the atm will send a code to.....anything over $900 Will require some sort of ID.....the more I find out about the atm the less likely I will ever use my bank again to buy crypto

Most atm btc machines have high fees (through giving you a bad exchange rate).

Not sure what others are paying but for buying $100 from atm it costs a few dollars less than buying from bank. It cuts out the exchange with coinbase and there are no miners fees. My bank was killing me with the international fees. I guess to each his own but the atm was the best news I've had this week

Give the ATM owner a call and ask for a discount on their standard fee.

People report getting 1/2 to 2/3 of the standard fee without argument.

Not disagreeing, had a one off situation, called and asked guy if he would split 9% fee for $500, he said how dare I call him after hours and he blocked my # from being able to buy from his ATM lol.

Not going to risk being blocked when it's cheaper than the bank method.......the next closest atm is almost 1 hr away

What is the typical standard fee on these? There's one not far from my house but I still have never used it because they don't publish the fee.

Not sure how accurate this site is but it lists Bitcoin ATM's near you with some rates.

9% seems to be about normal retail rate.

More than half a dozen people have told me they get 4% to 6% by just asking.

A couple years back I was buying BTC with cash on localbitcoins.com.

3% was the norm, but one guy started giving me 2.5%.

I have no idea where it's at today.

    9% seems high.

Yeah ATMs are usually the most expensive way to buy. Charging for the extra anonymity basically. Because they can. But if you show you know that rate is high, they still want your business.

Can you please PM me about something?

I would love to, but my p.m.'s were disabled by Sheri a long time ago. I broke the terms when I first started and didn't even know it until pointed out to me.

    Please enable my PM privileges

I don't have power to do that. But I sent you a PM.

email forum@sportsbookreview.com and ask about getting them back. Sounds like Shari or admin would look after you in that case.

Before I was banned, I used to buy a lot from coinbtm atm and coin source atm machines... when I contacted both companies for better rate, they flat out told me they have very competitive rates and they are not willing to go any lower.. they were charging somewhere around 18-20%.. I am glad I got banned at both places.

The atm in my town is charging 6.9% & after running into the owner at the store I asked was that the % charged in all of NC. He said yes but asked how much it would cost going through bank & then coinbase(told him that was 1 method I used) I told him I liked the confidentiality the atm charged.....he said if I was going to be a regular he could lower rate to 5 1/2%.....Much better
