It's worked for the last 2 years with no issues. We're all waiting on someone trying it since that letter from Bitpay. I would only assume you can use the card at the WM MoneyCenter... because they consider that a Point-Of-Sale transaction at the terminal. You do have to enter your PIN at the terminal.... make sure you have it.

This is starting to turn into joke. What other Bitcoin debit cards are there? I know of shift with coinbase, but what others are there?

I heard of a new one last week but haven't looked into it enough. It's a "Spend" card

Let's do this!! We're on a mission people. Find these cards now!

I just hope we find a company as honest as Bitpay.... who doesn't report anything etc. Very hard to find genuine companies like that.

The two week wait to get a new card in the mail just might be faster than bitpay "conversion."

I noticed, I used to have shift while ago. But it was such a headache dealing with coinbase. Now they deactivating all cards. Is kinda alarming.

Bitpay has always been mostly smooth sailings on any thing. Until this, this kinda causes red flags to me.

I would not trust most of these cards because they are mostly run out of foreign countries and you really can't do anything if they just close up. I like bitpay because the card is from a legit U.S bank. I've still been loading my card everyday and using it for purchases. Hopefully they will restore the cash back option soon. It doesn't look good though. Im sure this has something to do with the feds pressuring them about all of the bitcoin transactions and why people just load the card with bitcoin and then immediately withdraw it in cash.

just use it to load cash to another prepaid debit card, preferably Serve or BlueBird so you can withdraw and load for free or go to a casino and use it to withdraw

When buying a MO did you have to enter your pin? I thought the card only works like a CC now?

this won't really work since serve and bluebird has low limit to reload via debit card.

I didn't know you could load those cards with another another card. All the prepaid cards I use have to be loaded using cash only. Is it instant when you load it with bitpay card? This is very useful if true. Thanks.

Just a suspension of cash withdrawals or cashouts with purchases.

No news in when it will be back.

Card can still be used to buy a Walmart MO which can be cashed in the mean time.

Go to the dir.ect de.posit option and it’ll give you the routing and account number. Then you can do a transfer using your bank account site

My bank uses zelle and there is no option other than an email or phone number. Is it only certain banks?

if you have money in your bitpay wallet not the card couldn't you go to coinbase and get an address to send to your coinbase bitcoin account. you then would just deposit into your bank account. Would this work?

You don’t set up the d.irect de.posit through bitpay. You just take the account number and routing number it gives you then go to your online banking site and initiate a transfer from them(ach debit)

Doesn’t work.. my bank wants me to upload bank statement which shows matching name or voided check from bitpay... but none of that are available to me from bitpay.
