    I just don't know why.

Yeah I'm a skeptic. I rarely see the "regulars" here at SBR have these same problems. Maybe I'm wrong, sorry if I am.

Ive just found this topic an want to react since i lost some money today also, though not in BOL sbook

But think im gonna quit using BOL also. I did not lose money there, but my account was blocked 10 days ago. and they asked was i using proxy etc... i thought iz was becuz i went to another city like 50 miles away

Funny (NOT!) is that just 3 hours ago someone snatched $200 in other book i had same old password as BOL. BOL password was changed and i totally forgot to change it elswhere.

So people, remember - dont use same passwords on any of 2 sites. I was fine for 20 years online but i got ****** today in

Im still hoping to get my $$$ back since i was quick to react, but we'll see what they'll say. I wont disclose a book name until a see how they solve it

Well, according to Occam's razor that could be the solution: inside job by employees that ask for passwords in live chat.

I'm not sure if the BOL management knows of this "ask for password" thing by their live chat staff. If i have been asked, i will definitely send an email to clarify this.

you can only reset it before logging in by saying you forgot it... am i right? anyone?

might be wrong on this, but i have just withdrawn all my funds with all this shit going on

According to their FAQ, it seems doing "Forgot Password" they'll just send you your password to the email on file (maybe after asking a couple security questions, I don't know as I didn't do it). So I just got in contact with support and let them know I wanted to change my password and they sent a email with a reset link where I could change it.

I don't know when it went away but i'm 99% sure it was standard (every time I talked to chat they wanted it) awhile back. Recently when I talk to support they just ask a couple security questions instead of password now.

Betonline also frequently holds users funds and will not let users login to their own account. Betonline should be a D rated book

Just a quick update on my situation, since OP isn't updating on his. I was supposed to get a "confirmation email" yesterday about my claim but never got one. Emailed them about it, and still haven't received a response. Today should be the 72 hours they said it should take to investigate and my account is still locked (which is fine since I don't plan on playing until this is resolved). Will be talking with them a bit later to get an update.

If nothing else, people should have the casino and poker access shut off on their accounts.

Final update from me. Got an email response yesterday from them saying they were looking into how to remedy the situation. They just called me, had me reset my password again with them on the phone, reimbursed my account the money that was dumped, and reactivated my poker account (they asked if I wanted to, and I said yes since that's mainly what I use BO for). He also noted they'll be keeping an eye on my account for any more suspicious activity and will notify me ASAP if anything comes up. He was very polite and apologetic about the situation.

Overall, took a little longer than they said it would, but a positive outcome so I can't complain.

    That's great news.

BOL has had more issues with this than other books, but to their credit they have handled every report we have seen here very well.

Other than the lack of communication during the investigation I would agree. I'm just hoping my antivirus/antimalware is correct that there isn't a keylogger on my machine and it was just a random hack from an email list someone got from somewhere (It was an older password of mine until I changed it after the breach). I'm probably going to pull out 50% of what I have on the site just to reduce the damage if it happens again.

When they are checking out if you are involved or not, it's understandable to not tell you too much. All of them have taken a week or so to be made good again too btw.

There a great free service to clean and check your machine here: www.malwareremoval.com

It takes a couple of days of back and forth as an expert guides you through running programs and posting results back, but in my opinion there is no better way to be 100% sure you are trojan free, even for a fee.
