nitrogen account frozen for 3 days with no questions or explanation

Tried to make a withdrawal from my account on Oct 15th to a BTC address I have previously used to cash out from Nitrogen. They cancelled the withdrawal later that day. I only noticed when I tried to make some bets on the afternoon of the 16th and got a message saying "Oops! Your account has been frozen. Please contact us by creating a support ticket or by email at support@nitrogensports.eu"

I contacted support asking what the concern was and clarifying some potential concerns with my VPN, which i have spoken with Nitrogen security about before. I have now received four different form responses saying my account is under review, they can't discuss the details of a pending investigation, they will contact me as soon as they have information, etc etc. Yet now it has been several days with no response or indication of what potential problem they even perceive.

Anyone ever have an issue like this? Anyone having trouble withdrawing from Nitrogen recently?

Why would you use a VPN for betting, especially at Bitcoin only sites?

If it's because of country restrictions I would always clarify if they allow VPN before I start betting

If you want to obfuscate your information at a book with a VPN, EXPECT to be treated as suspicious.

My VPN usage has nothing to do with betting on Nitrogen. I have been perfectly transparent with their support at multiple times about my VPN usage. It is completely inconceivable to me that anyone would have a similar betting history to me (if they are worried about me trying to circumvent limits) and I am down quite a bit lifetime on their site so I'm not really sure what other concerns they could have. I have tried multiple times to reach out and have gotten the standard "we can't comment on ongoing investigations, we'll contact you when we have an update" responses. Is there a Nitrogen rep on these forums who might be able to help?

I still use vpn all the time on nitrogen as I have them on as well as AC88 which needs vpn....I had one issue a while back where I requested a withdrawl while vpn was on...they froze account and asked I provide them with my home base IP address..I did as requested and within the hour account was back up...they take security very seriously at Nitrogen..i now do not use vpn when attempting to withdrawl and have he no issues....

@bottleoffanta, what was the ending result of your situation. I am going thru something similar where Nitrogen is saying that my account information is overlapping with an account I never created or have any knowledge of even existing. They froze my account this morning after I made a withdrawal request and the timing of the freeze is just too ironic. Just wondering if you got your situation cleared up.

I have withdrawn tens of thousands in btc from nitrogen without issue. I’ve never even had the slightest hint that they were struggling as a book.

Now grading, that’s a different story.

@ BetJesus, it is not a matter of them struggling as a book that concerns me, it is the timing of of these security investigations when a withdrawal is requested after I've lost so much money previously. To freeze my account and inquire if I have multiple accounts (which I only have one account) when I do not partake in any eSports, Promotions, or Poker games is just extremely random to say the least.

Let me ask you this, what better time is there to do a security investigation then when money is taken out of your account? That is the only time they would suspect something is amiss. And the same goes for every other online sportsbook. I don’t know how much you are taking out, but if it’s only a few thousand dollars, then it is my belief that there may be grounds for an investigation.

I would venture to guess that at some point you mistakenly created another account while logging in. This does happen on a somewhat regular basis and I wouldn’t imagine it would take more than 3 to 5 days to correct.

Ultimately, I am 100% certain you will get paid.

I hear ya @BetJesus, I guess I figure if you are gonna do a security investigation when I request a withdrawal, why not do that same investigation when I deposit thousands of dollars in a short period of time on your website. Thanks for the feedback.

Lol...most thieves and hackers just don’t like to deposit first into accounts they prey on

@littlekona, so depositing thousands of dollars worth of bitcoin in a short period of time, anonymously, into a gambling site should not be tracked by security at all huh? Ever hear of money laundering, come on dude... Security needs to be full circle is my point here, not just when it is time to pay your customer.

catch the shoplifters on way out not when going in....if you try laundering and do it enough times to get books attention they will get you after deposits too...way to much man power hours needed to verify on way dont u think?.....Now if you are depositing into a full regulated books 100's of thousands they can and many will ask for KYC and or proof of income as I have seen betfair ask right away....

that said all sites including nitro should be a bit more transparent and get these "investigations" done quickly
