BetOnline has asked players through Twitter to DM them for possible help getting in to their accounts. Sending an email to be relayed here is of course optional.

And what about the players who dont use twitter? why are they not emailing their clients in this troubled time? are they really incapable? thats scary. And if capable, it sounds like they only are looking to please the "loud" players on forums and twitter. I find that even worse.

    Updated statement from BetOnline:

First off, we want to take the opportunity to apologize for the recent instability of the desktop version of our BetOnline.ag website.

We know that some of our players have been experiencing intermittent connectivity issues and downtime. This is the result of a complex network attack targeting more than 7,000 websites around the world. It is an attempt by a third party to disrupt regular site access and upset our usual seamless service to players.

We are working closely and tirelessly with our network provider to restore services but unfortunately it has taken much longer than we’d originally anticipated. We have also engaged additional top tier service providers to help thwart this attack and are making significant progress. We expect to have service fully restored soon and we appreciate your patience while we work to resolve this accessibility issue.

It remains our priority to safeguard the security of our valued players, while protecting the integrity of player data. We emphasize that at no time has the security or privacy of personal data, account information, passwords, financial data or funds ever been compromised during this outage.

BetOnline.ag has been a trusted Sports, Casino and Poker provider for many years and we remain committed to continuing to provide the best of online betting entertainment available online. While these current events have temporarily disrupted our ability to deliver on our industry renowned standards, we assure you that this is only a temporary.

This issue will be resolved soon, allowing us to continue providing the quality of service that the online betting community has known and trusted for so many years.

We thank you for your ongoing support and patience during this time.

    Sincerely,

    The BetOnline Team

What gets white-listed? IP or user name? Any reports that white-list is actually working? Thanks.

So if you are on a dynamic IP you need to get white listed always when the ip changes. Quite tricky.

You might think a web site could figure out what ips were being used to log in to actual accounts and allow those ips, without the user having to request a white listing. I'm no network guru, so maybe that's just completely infeasible, but it doesn't sound that complicated to me. Oh well.

They will probably white list your sub-net instead of just the single IP

If this was possible there would be no such thing as DDOS attack, as it would not work.

Sportsbetting.ag Constant Website Issues - Avoid!

Sportsbetting.ag has been having severe issues with their website for at least the last 2 weeks. Most of the time the server is down and and you can't even access the site. When you can access it, there are login issues that won't let you stay logged in half the time. Avoid this site if you can! I don't know how SBR rates this site as an A....Edit: Clearly I missed the bigger thread. DDoS attacks aside, still shouldn't be rated an A.

Does SBR know if they are going to compensate us in any manner for all this? I mean more than some $50 fp that most books throw around anyway?
What is the contact for BO so that I can email them and they can put me on their "list"?

wonder why hackers are not attacking bigger sites like pinnacle, betfair, bookmaker,.... 4-5 years ago they were under DDOS attacks at times, maybe now they have DDOS protection something like CloudFlare or better

So, the big question is. Can you withdraw to Blockchain wallet ? And, where would you feel confident sending your money, which book ?

Yes you can withdraw - I received a payout today via BTC.

I use both a VPN and my standard IP and both are currently blocked which is super annoying.

I got an inbox on SBR from an account named "BetOnline" with around 250 posts, apologizing for my issue logging in on BetOline and asking me for my user name. I just want to check here that if it is a legitimate account and are they legitimately representing BetOnline?

"First off, we want to take the opportunity to apologize for the recent instability of the desktop version of our BetOnline.ag website. "

Such a misleading statement btw. Implying that the mobile/tablet versions have had no issues. The customer service botching of this (not unexpected at least from me) is just as damaging as the attack itself.

I still can't get in. Can't get in on my mobile phone either. I've talked to player services a few times since this happened. Guess what? They never once mentioned getting me online into their site from some other means at all. Not once. When I talked to someone there last night, they said it would be fixed in 2 hours.

I really hope they plan on some form of compensation? Nobody seems to answer that question. Perhaps, someone from BOL can answer it in this forum since they don't email or call us.
