Yes they can. Most don't but free proxy/vpn services are notorious for stealing your information.

What do you think optional should someone be paying a little extra every month for a VPN or is it just Overkill?

I would prefer to pay for one personally.

Or at least use a well known and recommended free one.

I think this is what hes asking what is the "known" top notch free version.
I personally have no clue, but that question does come up on forums often.

optional so your answer is that you will avoid free vpn. Most use these for geolocation restrictions. The most popular for firefox is hoxx if i am not wrong and there are also some for chrome. But it is easy for someone to steal your password?

And lets say that steal your passwords then how they will move the money to their accounts?only with phishing i am wrong?

MY question is which are the most popular free and reliable vpn and if someone can steal your money from your account, not only passwords..

I'm not really an expert on them Gamblehappier. I do know we have to trust them as they could view your data as it passes through them. I don't really have a recommendation though as i just don't know which are good or not myself.

What I was asking is if optional thinks the average Joe should even be using a VPN or if it's just Overkill?

    I don't use one.

But I live in a country where gambling is legal and non-taxable. So I'm not concerned about anonymity personally.

The problem is that many sportsbooks limit or close your accounts when you use public VPNs or Proxys.

Public VPNs are well-known to the sportsbooks. They have a list of IPs used by VPN providers. bet365, for example, blocks many of those IPs so that you're not even able to get access to their site.

In simple terms when you log onto a site you're sending information from your device through a series of internet servers to an internet site destination. Potentially that information could be accessed by a 3rd party directly from your device, by hacking any of the internet servers, (which are like highway on/off access points), or at the internet destination. A proxy such as Hoxx isn't going to protect your device or the site you visit. The information travelling between those points should be more secure with a proxy BUT you have to weigh that against the threat caused by willingly giving the proxy all the information.

It's like sending a dodgy letter through the post. Is it better to dictate the letter to a friend who then sends a copy of your letter in his words from his address by secured courier. It comes down to do you trust the friend?

Proxy service providers make all sorts of claims. There's no way to check if they're genuine or whether their security is as good as they claim. All you can do is look for reviews and read their privacy statements. Hoxx are very clear that they keep records and they are happy to cooperate with law enforcement agencies. Zenmate claim they don't keep records and don't willingly cooperate with legal requests. If you're importing copious amounts of drugs from South America, restocking your militia with tanks and missiles from Russia, discussing funding or future activities with ISIS, buying fake credět cards and driving licences from America, or accessing child porn from Asia then you probably shouldn't use Zenmate's free service - but you definitely shouldn't use Hoxx! I seriously doubt gambling is important enough for international cooperation between law enforcement and server locations, but who knows?

I use Hoxx for streaming sites and getting around site location issues - eg YouTube. Hoxx is a very good service, and a recommended Firefox add-on. On the whole I probably wouldn't use a proxy for gambling purposes. If you sign into a gambling site with an unexpected IP location you will likely end up with a KYC issue and your account will be frozen. I would only consider it if 1) the gambling site accepted customers from my real location and was prepared to discuss it with me beforehand, or 2) if I was only going to use the site very occasionally and I was willing to risk everything in that account being confiscated.

I welcome corrections or better information.

Semibluff after enough search i conclude that these free vpns from my point of view should use as you said for a limited time, and of course the most famous free vpns.Again i think that passwords should change after the use of it.
But if you betting enough money it is little stupid to not have a paid vpn and you will be more secure and faster. Why to risk your capital for so little money.
Also i believe that vpns should be use only with exchanges and asians.
Again i believe that the use of free vpn should be for a limited period of time
