It appears that a lot of complaints have to do with money disappearing from acounts. More specifically, monies lost in their casino. Aparently, someone has been able to tap into players accounts, and spend their money in the casino. Now I have no idea how this is being done. It could be an inside job, or it could be a very good hacker. The point is this. You can not expect BP to come out with a statement admitting to the problem. They may as well close up shop. That would be suicidal to them.
So how do you protect yourself from this happening to you? Here are a few steps you can take to insure your funds.
1. Check your account frequently. I would recommend twice a day. If there are any problems with it, notify BP immediately. Ask them if anyone has signed in using your IP. Get all the times that the funds were lost, and how they were lost. Was it a wager? Was it in the casino? This is critical information.
2. Keep track of the exact time you log in and out of your account. If funds were lost, you will be able to tell if you were logged into the account at the time when the funds were lost.
3. If you do not play in their casino, have that option deleted from your account. This will protect you from any unauthorized play in their casino.
4. If you have accounts at other books, use them until this mess is cleared up. You can freeze your account at BP if you so choose. Again, this will guard against any unauthorized use of your account. Make sure you note the day and time you froze your account.
5. NEVER EVER give your IP address out in here, or anyplace else. You may as well give your credit card information out. Hackers will have a field day with this information.
6. If you are uncertain about the stability of BP, cash out. You can always open an account once you are convinced that their internal problems have been dealt with.
7. Keep precise records of any wager made with BP. Get the tracking number, or whatever they may call it. If possible, print out a copy of your wager. Make sure that you have all the information given to you once the wager is accepted.
Again, I am not accusing anyone, or BP of shady practices, but the fact is that we are talking about YOUR money. No matter how well you have been treated by BP, you can not ignore the fact that this COULD be an inside job. The possibility exists that BP is doing this for profit. This may, or may not be happening, and again, I emphatically state that I am not accusing them of doing this. I am just trying to make sure that you guys do not get ripped off by someone who may, or may not be associated with BP. Use extreme CAUTION until this problem is resolve. I hope this helps some of you. Good luck to all of you.
