    More tripe!

One has to be very careful with new books but that's a ridiculous generalisation.
I've just begun using a new one in Australia (BlueBet) and have no fears about them at all.
For the thousands of Aussie punters whose business the major corporates and TABs don't want there is certainly room for a bookie which will cater to them.

Who is behind this one Hareeba?

Site design looks like it has something to do with Sportingbet... colours and fonts.

Not got enough experience of using them yet other than for the horses where they are pretty much on a par with the others but with the added advantage of paying out on a protest loser.

Not likely to know about how useful they are going to be for sports until the footy season gets underway.

It doesn't matter where 93% of guys on here play because they are never gonna make a withdrawal.

I have beat the books. Unfortunately they beat me much worse in return..

Isn't that true for most gamblers? I guarantee you we'd be shocked at how few people here actually win money.

There used to be a payout thread a few years ago where users would report how much money they won and what method they used and how long it took to get the money. Everyone there was completely full of shit. You'd see guys on there withdrawing $5k a month. Complete bullshit.

Withdrawing $5k does not mean the player has won $5k.

    Of course!

By that logic I'd be showing about $300k profit in 2015!

I've enjoyed using them for horses for about 3 months but that's now probably mostly over as they've seen fit to bar me from their best tote + SP (best of 4) product.

Footy season is about to commence. I've not used them for any sport yet so it will be interesting to see if they are competitive and accept a decent sized wager.

Hi Hareeba. This is a most fortuitous post as I was just looking for some information re: Bluebet. My key question is: are they safe / a good payer? I suppose the easiest thing to ask you is: have you made any withdrawals from them and if so, were there any issues at all? Thanks Hareeba!

Yes Ewan, I've had a pretty good run with them and made a few withdrawals and every time the funds have been in my bank account next morning.

    Well not quite mate!
There are big corporate "bookies" in Australia who won't let me bet on anything they are not obliged to by legislation (NSW racing).
So, yes, I need to find books which will take some action and fortunately there are a few small ones which are helpful to a degree.
The beauty of Australian regulated books is that your money is better protected than anywhere else in the world (provided the state regulators do their job, unlike the ACT Commission a few years back!).
One place where I won't play is Costa Rica or anywhere else which openly accepts US customers. I've been saying for years that there is just too much danger of Uncle Sam snatching their funds.

    Thanks mate!

    Here's something new.

Over the past few months I've found and been playing at another little known Aussie place, PuntLane.com

They don't really offer anything much on sports but if you're into horses I would certainly recommend them. Not so much for fixed odds but if you like to bet at BOB (Best Of The Best) you can get on for up to $250 on Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide races.

Unfortunately I've been barred from BOB at all bar PuntLane and ClassicBet so I do like these guys.

Yeah right, and there is no new bookmakers doing everything they can to grow bigger to be sold to big "bettinggroups" for up to 70 millions.
And when they have sold it , for sure they dont repeat the process, because they dont wanna earn more "easy" millions

Im not saying they will be the next big thing, but for sure, you can find "new" bookmakers that are pretty good

Wasn't Sportingbet originally the "Number One Betting Shop" out of Vanuatu (Alan Tripp) prior to being sold to Spotingbet UK? Sullo was the CEO of sportingbet, but I dont think that he ever "owned" it. They walked him out about 1.5 to 2 years ago.

Yeah, I recall being a customer at Numbawan Betting Shop in Port Vila. Was their guest on a trip there. Took us out fishing! Caught about as many fish as I backed winners with them!

Punt Lane tends to only offer odds on metro betting days. Maybe check them tomorrow for Sandown and Doomben. But you can be sure they'll be operating on Saturday. But as I said, hardly worth even bothering with them for sport.

well since u r from USA , it is hard to find good one beside 5Dimes

but to me since Iam not from the banned countries , bet365 ( all markets for medium stake 1$ : $300 players )

and Pinnacle ( untill $10000 stake with higher odds but less markets )

only those 2 are the best options

And as expected, they now have markets up for today's racing from Sandown, Newcastle, Doomben and Strathalbyn.

I would try Nitrogen over other newer types books because it is a bitcoin book and really no such thing as an old school bitcoin book

I would not put a lot in...try it out as we do get good reviews
