    Favorite sportsbooks in Las Vegas

I visit Vegas a lot. Especially during the college football season. I was wondering if anyone out there has a favorite Vegas sports book spot and why. Let me know what you guys have....

I like South Point. Here are a few reasons

    Good

Its south of the strip so it gets less touristy traffic

The sports book and horse book are separate form each other. I think the sports people and the horse people enjoy that.

It has a great atmosphere...more so for NFL than college.

    Bad

They never have the volume up high enough for the games.

    I also like MGM Grand

    Good

The atmosphere for college games is awesome! This is a place that bettors and fans go.

The lines are clear and listed by game start time which is great. Ive never understood why more Vegas sports books don't do it that way.

They have enough Tvs for almost every game and if its a Saturday pretty much all the tvs on the casino floor will also have a college football game on.

    Bad

For such a huge freaking casino and hotel the sports book is relatively small.

It depends on what I am in Vegas for. Football and the ponies are the only two sports that I wager on and the ponies are more to pass time and try to get a winner for my Kids or Grandkids. I get the best service at Caesars because my wife and I have been going there since they opened their doors in 1966. I also like the Las Vegas H and the Nugget because I have a rather large maximum there. Other hotels include the Belagio, and my wife's favorite hotel, the Paris.

Honestly they all seem to be the same to me. I like Caesars and Mirage.

Everyone loves LVH because the book is huge and they are a pretty independent book.

Any William Hill is easily the best to me because of the inplay. If I dont go there I usually just go to Palms since its easy to get into and not buried in traffic.

It doesn't really matter to me because I place bets and hit the strip. Cash the tickets later, usually in the morning because the book is closed by the time I make it back.

    Mirage for me.

I like the MGM, but haven't been out there in several years. Need to get back out there and check out some of the new ones.

MGM and Caesars are like right in the action of the casino which is nice

To me the real Las Vegas sports book experience is Caesar's Palace just because of the environment
