    Wagerweb Stops Taking Greyhound Racing!

What a joke! I loved this company too!

Sucks they stopped taking greyhound racing out of the blue.

This is a big reason why I decided to use them in the first place

Wagerweb pays....but it does concern me that they stopped taking greyhounds all of a sudden

Anyone know any good solid books that do take greyhound tracks?

i am sure they are getting a lot of angry emails about this. Hopefully they decide to re-add it to their site from a pure business standpoint.

WagerWeb surely will lose my future business because of this decision. Wish they changed their mind as I was growing to like this book a lot

i stopped using them after they told me they decided to stop taking greyhound racing. It was a slap in face to customers and they did not even take us into consideration. They paid fast and I was growing to like this book a lot, however, without greyhound racing it made itself no different from most of the other books and thus, for me, there is no reason to still play there.

first i was told it was a software issue. Then days later it was a management decision. Give me a break!

Greyhound racing had low limits anyway. I liked to play a few dollars here and there. But without greyhound racing, they are no different than any other big book you can use. So I just rather have my money at a better sportsbook that would not just take away something you like betting on just like that

Really made a lot of people upset about this decision to stop taking greyhounds

However, I am sure the bad feelings towards this move by wagerweb will start to circulate throughout the sportsbook industry and less and less people will use them as a result.

    Horrible move by management

Petac, just giving my honest opinion here. I don't think there are legions of unhappy grey hound players at wagerweb. The limits were low for the most part. Maybe $200 win and place. Show was $10.

I could understand being disappointed as I'm disappointed waiting for them to bring back the dgs casino as I'm still told they are integrating it for the past 4 months.

For a bit there were and are books that you could hit with decent size show bets that didn't hurt the mutual pool. Yeah, I like WW, but his passion here leads me to believe he was turning nice profit someway vs being just the low key player popping out $10 bets every now and then. I've been wrong in the past, but that is my gut instict.

Kaabee, I know months ago I told you it will be back. That is what I was told. I spoke with the guy running it multiple times and was told it will be there. I followed up with him and he asked 'if I trust him"? He says they are trying to integrate it and it should be up at anytime. Now this being said if it takes much longer I will realize that I am indeed a true pole.

It is tough to play at a casino where they have a carib stub poker side ante pot at $1,500. I'm talking about that God aweful old Legends software casino. Even before there was chatter about it being shady with Legends and 5 Dimes, I never liked it from the start.

I hope for us. but my hope is fading. The fact that I was asked if I trusted them will really burn on me if it doesn't come to fruition. I'm not an IT expert, but it shouldn't take 4 months.

That being said, I haven't spent a dime in that old Legends casino and never will. Even if it is the only casino they have. The Casablanca is a lot better in comparison. Still it doesn't comapre to the DGS. I've hit 8k in the Casablanca a few months ago on a dueces wild $2 4 line hand, but the casino offering is way below my expectations. It was at least 50% of why I love this book. Again, I'm only holding out hope for so long. Either it will be added soon, I'm proactively told it didn't work out or come to grips with I was had.

How do you guys cap the greyhounds? Do they have pp's like horses? Watched a few races on my ADW video, looks like a complete crap shoot.

Sp, in my opinion it is a crapshoot. There is an angle though, especially if the show bet max was greater. At some books they are. These track have suck low mutual pools that you can attack the pools betting offshore. Either he is what he says he was, betting small just for the fun of it or he was good at exploiting win/place pools or exacta/quinella/tri's.

My conclusion is more of something was wrong with the system, mostly a past posting issue, not really the OP getting them. That or they were getting hit hard by a lot of people. It doesn't make sense to shut it down over 1 or 2 people.

you look for dogs with speed positioned inbetween slow breakers.....also some dogs like the inside/midtrack/or outside....dogs dropping in class are always worth a look

Thanks for the info guys. Are they kinda like standard bred horses? Run once a week or so. Over time you would get to know the dogs just like horseplayers get to know the horses. Play back off of troubled trips and such.

you will see the same dogs/kennels and get familiar with a circuit if u watch it. if a dog wins they move up in class from c to b etc and if they fail to get 3rd or better in 3 straight races they drop in class from say b to c etc etc

Palm Beach and Derby Lane gets a decent handle but most of the others its small. The sport has been around a long time though and casinos and poker in most of these places which helps.
