i think your balance should be 3X you max bet on preferred sports and 10x your average bet.

question never answered by any book located in America: they show max payout $30,000 for any A Track, but you cant have those 30k in one payout, with exception of betfair and Bet365 they can process up to 200k in one transaction.

5mike5, the only way you can be killing them and not have your limits cut drastically is if you're an extremely small bettor. Tony will NOT let you beat him consistently if you're betting reasonable limits.

There were a couple of threads in the last few months on this forum regarding some offshore book going under after football season. One of them claimed there was a report coming out in the Costa Rica newspaper, but I haven't seen anything over the last month. Hard to say what's true and not. The guys here on the Vegas strip are also concerned about something brewing, but they are not taking their money out (which is totally illogical, and is the nature of degenerate gamblers). I had 3 online accounts, and I took out almost everything from every book - the majority of it coming since the end of summer.

For traders and fund managers, everyone runs first then to ask questions later. When the futures broker MF Global went under, I had more than 99.99% of customer funds outside that firm (by luck, by choice, and by customer requests). Some of my friends were permanently damaged, both financially, emotionally, and psychologically. It's really sad if some of them won't even pick up the phone or answer emails. Maybe they were arrogant, or had deer-in-headlights syndrome, or it was just bad luck. In any case, There were signs for several years that MF Global had some major problems (going back to 2006), and then Corzine took the firm into the hole.

I see no difference between an investment bank, futures clearing firm, and an offshore betting house. 5Dimes might be really good, I don't know. All I can say is for me for now .. it is not good enough. I am sticking to the M (Cantor), Will Hill, Stations, and some of the smaller joints here in Vegas until the coast is clear and blue skies are abound.

Vegas books are obviously safer. But not everyone lives in Sin City, so it's not practical. Vegas also lacks the arbitrage opportunities, bonuses, & loyalty rewards, that only offshore sportsbooks provide. Everyone has different risk/reward tolerance levels.
