Yeah, I'm having that problem now. I've been with 5D for probably 12 years, and yesterday I accidentally, unknowingly, bet an off line (though it wasn't
too off: +170 on a line that closed at
Pinny +165, though probably +145 at Pinny at the time of the wager). First time I ever did it, cause if I know a line is sketchy, I don't bet it. Seriously. If I was a shot taker, it would have been clear in the first ten days, instead of not happening ever in more than ten years.
In fact I'm the opposite of a shot taker: once, in 2002, I ended up with a negative balance of $300 at 5D, in a post up account, because they'd graded a game wrong and I'd afterwards maxed out my account on other bets and they lost. I actually sent them the $300. I didn't use the account for a few years after that, either, so I didn't pay it off just to keep the account open.
So I have to ask, which is more likely: I, who have made thousands of bets there, none of which was ever at a wrong number, finally did it by accident ... or that I'm the type to make such bets and it just took me all these years to find one?
Anyway I got my limits crippled ($100 max, even on the Super Bowl), so I guess I'm done.
But I'd still, actually, recommend them to any new bettor. It's US facing, has lots of offers, reduced juice if you don't bet too big, and they do interbook transfers. Just somehow magically make sure you never accidentally bet a weak number.
