    BetOnBet bankrupt

    21. August 2009

MALTA – The Linx Media Group has today announced that it is seeking to put its businesses into liquidation and will cease trading with immediate effect.

As yet, the Linx Media Group does not know how long this process will take, but it will provide updates on the situation as and when information becomes available and when liquidators are appointed.

A company spokesperson from the Linx Media Group stated: “It is with great regret that we make this announcement. I appreciate the concern and frustration that this will inflict on the Eurolinx, BetOnBet, and Linx Casino player community. Affected account holders are those individuals who have agreed to a contractual relationship with the Linx Media Group through Eurolinx, BetOnBet and Linx Casino. All available player funds are held by these businesses. As soon as we have information on how to lodge claims with the liquidators, we will communicate this via www.eurolinx.com, www.BetOnBet.com and www.linxcasino.com.”

if they could actually payout players funds, obviously they wouldn't need to go into liquidation in the first place.

BetOnBet and Eurolinx are now in the F category. It is not unusual to see places like these reopen during the NFL Year or closer to the Super Bowl, so it's important to steer clear of any BetOnBet or Eurolinx property in the future. The GM of BetOnBet is someone that we have communicated with, and any operation he might try to open up in the future will immediately go into the F category until all balances owed are paid.

    Hi guys,
Can someone please tell me is there any hope that we will see our money from that bookmaker? Is there anything that can be done in this kind of situation? Thank you very much for your answer...

liquidated, and they had very little business anyway, meaning a buyer is highly unlikely. Good luck getting anything back.

    LGA Investigates BetonBet

The Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) hereby notifies that the company Alpine Malta Ltd is under investigation by the Authority.
Alpine Malta Ltd operates under Class 1/4 and Class 3/4 licenses and operates under the tradename BetonBet.
The LGA has issued a notice of suspension for the two classes.
Furthermore, the LGA hereby notifies that the company Eurolinks Ltd is not and has never been a licensed operator with the LGA. The LGA also notifies that the sportsbooks of Alpine Malta Ltd (BetonBet and Eurolinks) are not and never were licensed by the LGA.
Players who deem to have any outstanding payments from Alpine Malta Ltd (BetonBet) specifically on the Class 1/4 and Class 3/4 licenses are to send an email to complaints@lga.org.mt and should submit the following information:
    1. Name and Surname
    2. Registered Address
    3. Date of Birth
    4. Passport Number and Certified True Copy of Passport or ID Card Number and Certified True Copy of ID Card (by email or post)
    5. Telephone Number
    6. User Name
    7. Player Account
    8. Amount of Claim of Balance or pending Cash Out
    9. Screenshot of Balance or Cash Out pending

I don't think that this will mean money to anybody, still, worth a try....

I never bet here, but best of luck to anyone with funds there.

Looks like the LGA is trying to shirk its responsibility again. Surely if Alpine Malta was licensed and traded under BetOnBet (as they admit), then BetOnBet was indeed licensed by the LGA (which they deny), and the LGA once again failed to act sufficiently early to protect players. Licensing the parent company means the LGA should have kept a check on what its trading subsidiaries were up to. And, actually, it's not even clear that BetOnBet was a subsidiary, rather than just the operational tradename. The LGA makes me angry.

Barreiratiago, if you haven't done so already, you should use the information Fixxer helpfully posted, above, to contact the LGA. It's unlikely that you'll be able to recover any of your owed funds, but it's better than doing nothing at all. Apart from contacting the LGA with the requested info, there's really - literally - nothing else you can do now.

I hope you didn't have too much money in BetOnBet.

Nothing new with this? I have 782 Euro in their sportsbook. I am considering that my money are gone but is weird that none authority is taking legal action.
