Monday, Theodore Olson filed paperwork to join NJ's legal team.
What Christie wants to do is technically illegal. This is the first step. He forced the hand of either the gov't or the sports leagues to challenge him. The leagues did. This lawsuit will now probably take a year to work its way up the legal system to the ultimate battle in front of the supreme court.
Since the law is unconstitutional (Fed gov't preventing one state while allowing another state), the Supreme Court should overturn it.
Then it'll be legal to bet in AC and horse tracks.
