5dimes live casino issue (screwed me out of money)

I was in the live casino last night and played a $20 hand of blackjack. My cards are a 4-6, or 3-7.. can't remember but they added to ten... obvious hit situation.

So I press hit, and the dealer says "stand" and asks the next player for their move. Everyone starts speaking out in the chat including myself saying hey this guy asked for a hit. She realized her mistake and goes back to me. At that point the "hit or stand" option pops up again. So I think she like reset it or something. So I press hit again... mind you she has NOT DEALT the third card yet. She proceed to deal me a king (sweet I'm on 20 right?)... no she deals me ANOTHER card, because apparently both times I pressed "hit" counted. If the hand had played through with me not getting that 2nd hit I wanted I would have won the hand ($40). Went into 5 dimes live chat and they are "investigating it". I guarantee you I don't see a penny of it. Who the hell would hit on a 20?

I'll update you guys and let you know what happens, but if I don't get paid it is pure theft. Not too concerned about $40 but it is the principle.

I assume the dealer had a 10, since you didn't double down. Hopefully you get paid, good luck.

I'm not really complaining lukahh. Just felt like getting it out there to the community to see what the general consensus was. I haven't heard back from 5 dimes and it's been two days. One proponent could argue that I did press hit twice. I just hope they check the video to see her screw up. Wasn't sure if anyone else had run into a similar situation before. I've played all of 20 hands of blackjack in my life online and it happened to me, so i thought this might be something common.

Thanks for the good wishes bobby. Can't remember what dealer had. Just that I would have beat them if the cards drew out like they should. It's likely I should have doubled down but didnt because I was too busy staring at the dealers titties. Not exactly a prof bj player, I just saw the live casino option and wanted to check it out.

Tried to complain to the pit boss she didn't listen... Im like really can't you idiots use common sense and know that I'm nobody stays on a fucken 11... I was so pissed i went off and eventually got banned from chat

I'd give them a chance to fix this before crying foul.

Justin I cried foul because they didn't fix it. I had posted the entire chat with 5dimes, but then I decided to edit it out, because I didn't particularly want it known on a public forum the details of my poker playing habits, because I'm sure some people in my real life could figure out who I was.

Any way... the end of this case was... I asked to see my hand history and I found the hand in question in about 2 minutes. I sent them the hand, and all they did is refund my bet. They didnt even pay out the bet that would have won based on how the cards drew out. On top of that I spent about 4 hours of my life haggling with incompetent people on live chat. Just a complete waste of time and would have been a nice gesture to get some sort of bone thrown my way for their multiple fck ups (i had to contact them multiple times to resolve this and they kept acting like its the first they heard of it - even though the prior reps said they were investigating it - said they'd e-mail me - nothing). But I'm not at 5dimes for their CS. Unfortunately getting screwed out of $20 doesnt warrant me leaving because I like their options and lines. So I'm willing to suck it up. That doesn't mean I can't share my experience. I love how easy mods jump down peoples throat who sligtly insult one of their books. It's ironic because this is supposed to be just the place people go to share their experiences positive or negative.

It wasn't actually a 10, it was a 12 or 13, and a 7 or 8 came out I believe when I found the hand. Either way after the 1st hit I was at a 20, which is all that is relevant in this case. It all happened kind of fast, and I wasn't prepared to make a mental note of every move I made, as I was not expecting the subsequent events to take place.

So that would be why I did not double up.

I feel your pain about the response on behalf of 5dimes, but in fairness had this occurred live in a casino I'm sure the pit boss would simply cancel your bet as well as let the other players opt out of the hand if they chose. I've had plenty of these goofs occur at tables I've played and the standard procedure is to scrap the hand and give you your money back, never seen anyone argue for and get winnings on a screw up.

I agree with you if they had made it right at the time. I asked for the hand to be canceled while it was happening and the dealer didn't even call the pitboss. She just said "sorry" the computer won't let me change it. Computer says you hit it twice. Then I spent 2 hours of my life dealing with it. It's just no way to treat a loyal customer. No other book Ive used in 8 years would have handled it this way. And believe me I've played at them all.

    PharoahUB,

Did you contact 5d CS? This is an obvious error on their end, and I would be shocked if they would not fix it. If you try that and get no satisfaction, fill out a complaint (link at the bottom of this message). We'll be happy to assist.

Last night i logged into the live dealer through 5dimes and came in in the middle of a hand. So i watched the conclusion of the hand. There were 3 players at the table. Dealer showed a 9. First player stayed on 12, 2nd player got dealt two aces and stayed on 2 (rather than split), 3rd player stayed on 9. Before the dealer pulls any more cards out of deck, all 3 players start complaining that they were never given options to hit, stand, double, etc. In this live dealer blackjack when you dont make a choice, you are forced to stand. Pitboss comes in and says that everyone seemed to have a bad internet connection all at once and that their system was of course working just fine. Pitboss then told the dealer to go ahead and finish the hand. Dealer pulls another 9. Hand over...Everyone loses. All 3 players were fuming mad and rightly so. There was a glitch in the system and the pitboss basically blamed everyone else's internet connection. I wasnt even involved in the hand but it got me pissed too. I watched them argue for a couple minutes without playing a hand and then just logged out. Im sure they contacted 5dimes and would love to know how this was handled.
