    Who's selling customer lists?????

I've had 3 telemarketing calls today, one from americanbookie.com, one from lowvig.com, and one from some totally obnoxious fu$k from Jim Feist. All of these were on my cellphone while I was working. WTF is going on with this sh*t, I probably throw out at least 7 mailers per month from various sportsbooks and tout services as well. This is getting pretty sickening, any suggestions

Also when you register to 2-3 sportsbooks or some e-wallet, you start to get bunch of spam e-mails from casinos offering extra large bonuses, and they address you with your full name...

Definitely annoying to say the least....sometimes staff get a hold of lists and resell them, there is big money in it. The worst suspects are usually in the |IT| department who have total dtatbase access... one zip drive and a quick download and they are done. Carefull about giving fake phone numbers when you open an account. No telling ho could bite you in the as for falsifying account data. Also, the main problem with the computer techs is that they make $5 to $8 bucks (bout what they deserve at most so they justify the theft and resale to augment their salarhy. I know a couple places that refuse to put actual phone numbers on the network to counter thisp [problem... they usually keep a hard copy kept seperate and locked... that way no quick download thefts for quick cash...

What legitimate purpose does a phone number serve when they can raise any issues with an email?

I've been doing this since 2003 and can't recall once that a book contacted me by phone for anything except marketing...

Get a free number from something like google voice and use this for gambling sites (so you get the messages in case they actually contact with you something useful)...

Sometimes the offers on the cold calls are pretty good... Personally I want to hear what they are offering which is why I use a valid number but not my main number...

I agree 100%. Plus no legit book can confiscate your balance because of not having your real number or even not having a phone number at all. That's our privacy and they should respect it. Gambling in itself is a shame thing and is the farthest from all the good values in our life.

Perhaps it's 5d...they're the only book I've ever given my # to. I put a nickel on Michigan -2.5 in the Sugar Bowl, and not but 10 minutes later this obnoxious tout named Johnny Bono calls me telling me that VT was the play. Told him I was on Michigan and hung up. Needless to say, I didn't hear from him again.
