Sportingbet.com (SBR rating D+) has allegedly confiscated €1,900 from a player.
A player wrote SBR claiming that he joined SportingBet on February 14th, 2012, depositing £1,000. The player risked his whole deposit on one wager and increased his balance to €1,900. Deciding to test the withdrawal waters, the player asked for payment on approximately March 1st, 2012. Sportingbet froze the player's account and claimed that he was guilty of multi-accounting. The player vehemently disputed this charge, and obliged all requests to produce ID documents to verify his account. After four days without response, the player was told that his account has been permanently suspended. Sportingbet allegedly claimed the player resided in Malaysia and was not allowed to make any bets with the company. The player was permitted to sign-up through the Sportingbet website, and was only informed of the country restriction during the withdrawal process.
Sportingbet has declined comment to SBR.
