    Problem with Beted

I m new to the site. I mainly wanted to vent but also thought someone may be able to give me some advice. To sum it up I made a credit card deposit to Bet ed 5 months ago. I also made 2 bets. After looking at site I realized I didnt get my bonus and or the money didnt post. It was 5 months ago so details are a little fuzzy. So I called Beted to inquire about bonus. They told me that until they got Credit Card Authorization form they couldnt process anything . So I told them to cancel the deposit.
Fast forward 5 months to last week. I get a call from Beted saying they need my credit card form to update my account. I had been using beted for the last month using echeck. They even offered me a bonus for the trouble. Well one day after submitting that form I received a charge on my credit card. After calls and emails to Beted they are telling me that I cancelled deposit and they made a mistake and still credited my account but that I took advantage of mistake and made bets. This all happened in about a 15 minute timeframe. I have record of when the deposit was made and when bets were made but not of when I cancelled transaction. I think its pretty crappy the way they went about to get their money they felt that was owed. I have told them if I owed you money then you should have let me know instead of doing what they did. This caused my credit card to go over the limit. Sorry guys just needed to get this off my mind

    Bababooey,

Since your card never posted the transaction 5 months ago, you were essentially freerolling them by playing there, although there should have been better communication to you that your deposit was never successfully processed.

    Welcome to SBR.

Not sure what you mean by freerolling them. Like I said I never thought anything else about the deposit until I got that call the other day.

If I was trying to get away with something I sure wouldnt have deposited more money with Beted. Nor would have I send in a credit card authorization form 5 months after the fact. I even asked the woman I talked to on the phone why they needed the form. I assumed since the card was on file so they needed form. And correct me if Im wrong but If those bets had led to me winning a ton of money and then trying to cash out, they could have voided the bets. Im pretty sure I read that they can void past transcations if anything was done wrong or inaccurate.

When I cancelled the transaction no games had taken place. They could have cancelled everything. They are trying to say everything is final when bets are made. I have used other books that were able to cancel bets after the fact. Considering they told me they would cancel the deposits the bets should have been voided out.

And I have made alot of deposits with Beted and no withdrawls LOL. They gave me a $50 free play bonus because I sent in paper work. Nice little tempation to get my credit card form. I am out more than that because my credit card when over the limit. And yes its my fault it went over limit. I have told them if that is how you value your customers, then I will never deposit with them again. They have done nothing to rectify this situation. I just feel this could have been handeled much better.

There telling me that it was all done by there automated system. That when I sent those forms the system automacially charged my card. The woman today told me today that the account manager is the one who told her to get the forms from me. I should have known something was up when they offered me a bonus to send in the forms. That is why I dont think this is a coincidence and that what Beted is implying. They are telling me they didnt know I had a deposit that had not been processed.
I pleaded with them when I found out the charge was pending to see if they would wait until I got money onto my credit card. They would not let me talk to an account manager directly and said I can only email account department.

In all honesty this happened 5 months ago. I do not remember all the details because at time it wasnt a big deal. I have record of when I made deposit and when I made bets. And they have admitted that I cancelled deposit and that they made mistake by not cancelling the transaction. There is record of me calling them to cancel deposit but Im not sure of exact time. Like I said this all happened within a 15-20 minute time frame. I have requested that they send me proof of when I called to cancel the deposit.

They just keep saying well you made bets so it is final. However they have in their terms and conditions that any action can be reversed under certain circumstance. I know many of you are thinking man shut the hell up. I hope anyone out there considering using bet ed please consider things I have said. I probably could have disputed this charge with my credit card. But I would probably lose and its not worth the hassel of having to tell my credit card what type of transcation this was. I have gave them chances to make this situation better such as delaying seeking payment or even offering more of a bonus. Im suppose to have a confrence call tomorrow with the woman I oringinally talked with and the account manager. Besides having slow software Bet ed has done me right. If they offer me something such as a bonus or at least make an effort to to make situiation right then I will be first to sing their praises. If not they lose a customer.

Why would you send in the authorization form when you essentially never made a deposit by CC?

    Stupid move on your part!

Well for one reason big joe they told me they would suspend my account if I didnt send in the forms. Also I read their terms and conditions and basically said if you attempt to deposit funds then those forms are needed. Obvisiously If I never sent the forms in they would have charged my card. However they would have suspended my account. I asked the woman why they needed these forms and told her I cancelled transaction.

Stupid move on my part? You probably think I was freerolling beted like the poster mentioned above. I had no idea what was going on. You think I would have authorized a charge on a credit card that had no money on the card???? From all I have said on these posts and you comment stupid move on your part.

I did not come on here to be told what I did wrong or for someone to tell me I made a stupid move or I was freerolling beted. I wanted to tell my story so hopefully no one ever has to go through this. There are people on here pissing and moaning and wanting SBR to help them out. I did not come on here to get a mediator. Im a big boy I can handle this on my own. I just thought I would tell my story but I guess I picked wrong forum.

Well my situation was resolved today with Beted. After the bonus for sending in forms they also offered me a bonus today. So the bonus totals about half my original deposit. I still think they were very shady and could have handeled this situation better. But I do feel they made an effort to compensate me for their error. Im not sure if I will ever use beted again in the future. But I would certainly not discourage anyone from using them. From what I have read on these forums, when you have a disagreement with some sportsbooks they will just close your account. Thanks for letting me vent guys. I think this helped me take alot of frustation out. Later

So basically, you did not tell the whole story!

You never said that you currently had funds in the account, or what amounts you would have won or lost on the "cancelled bets"

You do not need to tell stories of BETED on here. We all know they are crooked by previous examples!

So the bottom line is..... YES, STUPID MOVE ON YOUR PART. Just because you are still playing there!

big joe I will tell stories on who I want. Is this your board? Me having money in my account had no relevance. Actually it helps my case because they could have taken money off my account balence instead of charging my credit card. It would have certainly helped me out.

Why would I have cared if they had suspended my account if I wasnt still a customer. That is one way they lured me into sending forms. I had made plenty more deposits using echeck after that credit card deposit. Im sorry I spared you all the details but figured there was enough to read. I made 2 bets that equaled the deposit. If the bets had won Im pretty sure beted would have voided those bets. Since they lost--they admitted their mistake for not cancelling deposit but still charged my card in long run. It was a no win situation for me either way. But in hindsight after I cancelled deposit I should have went back to make sure the bets had been cancelled. I didnt check and of course my balance went back to 0 after the losses so I never thought anything else about it.

If I was freerolling beted then I wouldnt have sent in the credit card form. My account balence was close to 0 when they said it might get put on hold. It would have been much better for me to have had the account suspended or put on hold. Not everybody is looking to **** somebody over. I learned a lesson the hard way and will pay for it for a long time. I really dont need some asshole trying to call me out saying I was freerolling.

First you say bet ed was shady and then say bet ed are crooks and now your saying I freerolled beted. So it doesnt matter what I say because you would play devils advocate.
