    Pinnacle account for Americans?

I currently enjoy playing with DSI & Bookmaker, but like what I've heard & read about Pinnacle. I realize Pinny doesn't accept Americans, but are there any loopholes? I vacation every January to my in-laws in Costa Rica, couldn't I set up a Pinnacle account using in-laws address? If I set up a bank account in CR & also set up a Neteller account using in-laws address, then can I deposit & withdraw funds from Pinnacle? If I needed to deposit or withdraw from my CR account, couldn't I transfer to & from using my USA checking account? Let me know if I'm missing something from my thought process. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

first they will ask for ID that matches your costa rica address and bank account
also they will ask for a bank statement or utility bill that will be pinnacle and neteller
second have to go through proxy server to make bets

its not impossible but if they catch you say bye bye to your money/account

My wife has Costa Rica ID & bank account, would it be possible to open Pinnacle account in my wife's name using her ID? If my brother-in-law from CR placed bets for me, would that make the proxy server a non issue?

Never mind Pinny, you'd have to get by Neteller or Moneybookers which is even worse. I know someone who's currently living in CR and after a month of trying to prove his residency to Moneybookers ie repeatedly going to to the courthouse to get documents validated, he gave up. Good luck if you can make it work but it's going to be damn hard and if you mess up once, you're screwed.

I wasn't aware of any risk, thought it was just a matter of establishing foreign residence & ID. Perhaps I'll try to set up Pinny account in wifes name, during my next CR vacation. Cris is not a viable option, as they don't accept US bets. Not interested in Greek, since the DSI & Bookmaker loyalty program & reload bonuses are much better.

Then you'll be fine, as long as you setup the pinny account (as well as neteller/moneybookers) in your wife's name, and you login with a costa rican IP address.

This is definitely true. If you have an existing NT/MB account, good luck on your mission to convince them that you now live outside of the states. It's not easy.

According to my research, 5 Dimes has limit collars & Pinnacle doesn't.

they will definitely not take your money if they catch you. payout and close the account, but they aren´t gonna steal it.

shouldn´t be a problem in your wifes name. you can set up a vpn, or access to a computer in costa rica and bet yourself.

Worry about that when it gets to that point.

It's not like their going to collar you in 3 days.

My wife is still a colombian citizen even though she has lived in the U,S, for the past 10 years. but i have never gone there. but I have always wanted to have a betfair and a betdaq account. Pinnacle would be ok but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

If you have enough local ID to get the accounts open. Then I would buy a laptop and leave it at your relatives house with Remote Desktop Connection running, and use that for your betting.

Much less sus than a proxy service.

Can you fund a Pinnacle account by sending a wire from a US bank if the currency on the account is USD?

The exchange comment is retarded. There is ~1k USD on the Cubs at MB. Seriously that is ******* it. Pinny has 50k limits at better prices. ******* idiots.

Don't know why this thread was bumped back up to the top however, It's not all that hard to get around this problem if you really wanted to pursue it.

BTW, I'm not going to assist anyone with this matter so please don't ask me gentlemen because my answer is no.

You have a big advantage with the wife thing. Just keep everything in her name and it will be a lot easier. IMO, having someone place your bets is a bad idea and a lot of hassle. The best thing to do in your case would be to create a secure SSH tunnel between your computer in the states and a PC in Costa rica. Lots of info on the net on this. Another option would be to use a program like "PCanywhere to link the 2 PC's. The thing you have to be sure about is NO IP LEAKAGE back to your PC in the states. No doubt pinny knows this is going on, and are willing to turn a blind eye as long as they may maintain plausible deniability. Always remember this is a postup business, and pinny is not the type of book (like many unfortunately) to look for any possible reason to deny a payout. As long as you are not multi-accounting, or have been previously booted for winning, there are no ethical issues involved here. I'd go for it.
