Madrid never won against Lyon. In the first leg, even without Lopez, the best player in Lyon, Lyon got the draw at Gerland. The odd for Lyon to advanves decreased significantly overnight. I think we will see a great Lissandro lopez hungry for goals tonight, he was upset not to play against madrid in the first leg. Of course Benzema will be very dangerous for us, but Lyon have the french international goalkeeper Lloris, and I hope cris will be in the line-up along with bastos and gomis. Lyon give more importance to CL than anything else, the president Aulas want to go further in the competition...

    I think Bastos is suspended.

The more I look at this game the harder it is to see past Real. With the quality in their lineup and the fact that Lyon need to score. The 2nd leg of this matchup last year was bizarre. I seem to recall Higuain missing a handful of good chances and hitting the post on an open goal. If Madrid are this wasteful they will go out, but its hard to imagine.

Another thing to consider is Real's improved defense under Mou in Champions League. This could be the difference for them.

After seven Champions League matches this season, Real have conceded just three goals compared to eight at the same stage last term. They have also increased the number of tackles they have made from 138 to 200 while maintaining the same success rate (78%).

Real Madrid : Casillas - Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Carvalho, Marcelo - Di Maria, Khedira, Özil, Xabi Alonso, C. Ronaldo - Benzema.

Lyon : Lloris - Réveillère, Cris, Lovren, Cissokho - Toulalan, Källström - Briand, Gourcuff, Delgado - Lisandro.

You're right, Bastos is suspended. Except Lovren, I like the probable line-up.

Kraghen, are betting on this because its your team? the way I look at it is that ITS GOOD that Madrid have never beaten Lyon, which will give Mourinho more reason to prepare for this game... look back at his previous years in the competition, he was only knocked out by English teams and rightfully so, as they had been better than his team.

sure, Lopez wants goals but so did Marseille yesterday... when Lyon will have possession, sure he will be dangerous, but this will only help Madrid on the counter... and also, Ronaldo is back.

good luck man, you will most definitely need it

Today I CAN'T be on ur side buddy!

But the statistics are on the Lyon side! In fact I've heard yesterday that last time Madrid win against a french team in an elimination with 2 legs was 51 years ago. PSG I think eliminated Madrid and Lyon also.

PSG did it 2 times 1992-92 and 1993-1994 the other team that did it in consecutive season was Milan 1988-89 and 1989-90.

    BUT

Mou faced 12 times French teams and he only lost once. 1-0 against Lens in 2002.
Since Mou came to Real just 1 team manage to score more than once in Santiago Bernabeu that was Villareal but at the end Real won 4-2.
Mou has 21 official games at Bernabeu with 72 goals for Real and 8 against.

I really hope today they win!

I think Madrid will have to look for 2 goals lead no matter what! a 1-0 is not sure and a late goal can make this go to ET. Madrid has to show up today!

I think Madrid is going to win this match... But just by 1 goal. So i'd bet Lyon +2 and under 3.25 at 1.649...

Manchester was lucky yesterday as Marseille was about to get a draw... United killed the game in the end by wasting time (ex : Van der sar) but we can't blame them, I think Marseille would have done the same thing if they were leading.

I'm with Kraghen here, I think Olympique Lyonnais WILL Knock Out Real Madrid tonight, For me Real are too slack and relaxed at times and i believe if Lyon come to attack them tonight then they could quite easily capitalise on a nervy Real defence, Against Hércules at the weekend who aren't one of La Ligas most dangerous attacking teams away from Home they caused Madrid a few problems at Santiago Bernabéu, Marcelo isn't the greatest defensive Left-Back in the world either, Yoann Gourcuff to control the game and Lyon to go through.

Olympique Lyonnais (To Qualify) @ 6.00

Mourinho is going to bury all Lyon backers. He is the best tactician when it comes to the CL, GL with your bets because you'll need a lot of it.

Lyon have only 25% chance of winning, but I hope they'll get at least a draw... Lloris is a great goalkeeper... Manchester United was once interested in him to replace Van der sar...

In any case Lloris have them alive a 2-0 would be different before HT.

1-0 still gives hopes to Lyon just need 1 goal!

    Let´s see!

    So far interesting game!
