I'm starting bets early morning, what do you guys think??
I actually have a feeling that Bolton/Villa and Sunderland/Spurs will end up as Under 2.5's. Spurs and Villa have really good defenses and I could easily see Spurs and Villa keeping clean sheets. Also I don't see either Spurs or Villa scoring more than 2 goals on the road against solid EPL opposition so I'm thinking these games could end up as either 1-0 or 2-0 wins for Spurs or Villa, thus sending the totals Under 2.5.
Spurs have only conceded 7 goals in their last 15 EPL matches so despite all the credit they get for their attacking football and goals, they're actually a really solid team in defense as well. I think Spurs are underrated as a defensive unit, they used to be known as a soft team that played good football but Redknapp made a real effort to toughen up his midfield in particular (bringing in Palacios) and get them to close down a lot more. Redknapp's efforts have paid off because only Manchester United has conceded less goals than Tottenham this season, quite remarkable!
It's also interesting to note that Aston Villa's matches are only producing 2.42 goals per game, the 4th lowest record in the entire Premier League. Despite possessing some of the best attacking talent in the Premier League, Aston Villa only averages 1.13 goals on the road. Also, Bolton is not a prolific team in front of goal and they might struggle to score against a strong Villa defense. This match certainly has the potential to go Under 2.5, despite the fact that Villa beat Bolton 5-1 at Villa Park, earlier in the season.
Bolton and Blackburn have been pretty pathetic. Blackburn couldn't score against a team that only has 13 fit players and a ruined season. Bolton deserve to be relegated if they can't even fight for a draw at home.
Both upsets hit, I decided to leave out Sunderland the last minute but stuck with the over which cashed, Wolves 1.5 cashed. Parlay cashed. 2 games left. Looking forward to Sunday now .
Also my Tuesday 1 unit play on Chelsea also cashed, congrats to Chelsea backers United finally lost this season at home... or lost at home since the middle ages.
