    Brazil is overdue for sure but I wouldn't put my money on them. They seem to have lost the edge they used to have in the old days and I would not trust Neymar to produce when it matters.

    It looks like Argentina MIGHT win it all but they need to lose a group game to get that streak out of the way IMO.

    France and England won't win.

    I still think Germany is the best value at +1200 now and you can hedge out. They are getting better value because they might not win the group thus ending up on a tougher bracket draw but if they win the group ( which they certainly can) then all bets are on. Historically the Germans very rarely have two bad world cups in a row.

    Other nations worth considering are

    Spain+900( I don't think they are ready)

    Netherlands+1400- they have some value but they are not good enough at the back.

    Denmark @ 20/1

    Croatia @ 32/1 * Could easily beat Belgium and win their group. Easier road if they do

    Portugal @ 11/1 * Forget that they have Ronaldo and look at the supporting cast.


    Agree that Brazil @ 7/2 or Argentina @ 9/2 are over priced. Could be a good year to take a dog

    If you bet Brazil to advance in the KO stage and then on each round you will get beter than 4 to 1. Just bet them right before each game and bet the winnings on next round.

    They are-1700 to advance out of the group so needlessly you don't need to play that.

    In the first knockout game they will be most likely playing Uruguay. Odds will be-500 minimum for them to win and -375 to advance. You are going to lay-375 to win a hundred for example and if they lose that game you are out $375.

    If you took them to win the cup at+400 and you bet $100 on that and they lose that game what are you out? $100.

    Even if they win that Uruguay game you are still ONLY up $100 heading to the next game so you will be using that plus other funds to get more down because they will be chalk again.

    I'm dead serious. Odds to get out of the group have dropped big overnight and they are now +1000 to win this tournament. They were 3rd favorite not long ago.

    Plus you know Iran will park the bus. Iran gave Argentina and Portugal big trouble in past tournaments.
