    Has this ever happened in a major soccer league?

    A team wins the championship one year then get's relegated after the next year, not due to sanctions or penalties and such?

    Leicester is safe right now but who knows

    AC Milan were relegated to Serie B in 1980 as punishment for their involment in the 1980 Totonero scandal. Juventus had the same fate in 2006 after the 2006 Calciopolli scandal. They won the title in 2005.
