What's people's take on this game? Personally I'm thinking on getting on PSV @ 7/2, seems too good a price for a home match against a team that don't score much.
PSV been banging goals for fun recently, scoring 17 in their last six matches. And they have not conceded in their last three. Now yes, granted the Eredivisie is quite weak outside of PSV and Ajax, but that recent record surely cannot be completely ignored. And bar the 3-1 loss to Utrecht in the Dutch cup (possibly intended), PSV are undefeated at home all season.
They at go up against an Atletico team that specialises in low scoring matches. Yes they don't concede much, but they don't score much either, and I think they'll need to score two to earn at least a draw against a high flying PSV. The team only has 35 goals to its name in 25 La Liga matches, with the poor quality of defences in the lower teams, they should have many more than that. Torres has not been a source of goals Simeone hoped for, Jackson has gone to China after his turbulent spell in Spain, and were left with Griezmann, can he take the weight of the team for this extended period of time? Oh, and don't forget, it's the Madrid derby this weekend, the team must have eyes on that right now.
The way I see it, PSV will out score Atletico, maybe 2-1 FT. I can't see how the books have Madrid as a 10/11F, and PSV at home as 7/2 dog. Anyone know something I don't??
Im on psv aswell in a small bet. They will score. Although clubs like atleti will most likely rise to the occasion. Oh well, odds are decent, and i'm on a losing streak constantly betting the 'better' teams.. we'll see..
the atleti defense compared to what psv have faced thus far is like a brickwall to a open field. atleti have conceded i believe 11 or so goals total all season. no luke de jong, and i do not see atleti giving psv the space they usually get to create anything at all.
