    Better bet this afternoon?

I have a choice of Leicester City +.5 or Spain U17 -.5 (vs. USA U17).

Which do you think is more of a sure thing?

I could take both, I suppose. Basically, I have a ten game winning streak on ESPN.com and I don't want to lose it.

    thanks

I would lean Leicester City...I don't trust U17 teams to pull out big games when needed, and Reading isn't a great club. I actually really expect a draw in the Leicester/Reading game.

    Besides those, we've got:

Sweden Allsvenskan League: GAIS -0.5 (-145)
Israel Toto League: Maccabi Haifa -0.5 (-145)
German Bundesliga 2: Arminia Bielefeld PK (-160)

Which of those do you guys think is the banker?

Arminia. I love that Maccabi Haifa is undefeated in Israel play at home and is in first place on the table, but for a team that should easily beat Jerusalem, they aren't very big favorites. I smell a trap.

Bielefeld is actually playing for promotion, and they should get a point here easily. Look at Kara's writeup for more info

Alright, I dont trust Maccabi either with that line, something fishy for sure. I'll roll with GAIS and Arminia PK...though there is some odd line movement for the Arminia game going on at the moment.

I like the Leicester +.5. I don't see them winning but I think the draw is most likely.

And odds are moving in favor of Paderborn at another book, which I also rely on to make proper picks.

I don't know if that is the book f*cking with us, or if it is telling us to stay away.

that's true. but with the line movement against me I'd be taking a sure loss. I'll just gamble and let it ride.

    I'm glad I skipped the U17.

Red card on Spain and goal by USA in the first four minutes.

Spain closed on Betfair at about 1.61 or 1.62.

Bielefeld PK odds in the books you listed were wrong from the beginning, alot of books don't look very deep into these kind of games, especially the American ones. This game is a regional derby, Paderborn will have a full house, however, these type of teams arn't used to playing under that kind of pressure, generally they don't play with a full stadium in intense games. Bielefeld are used to these type of games, they played in the Bundesliga for most of the last decade, they have more experience and the atmosphere won't be worse than what they have encountered before.

The PK line should be around -130 / -120

Bielefeld is the pick in this game. They were relegated from the Bundesliga last season and will get back there at the end of the season. A win today takes them to the top of Bundesliga 2. On the flip side, Paderbon's aim this season is to avoid relegation to Bundesliga 3. And their position in the standings is quite comfortable right now. So if Bielefeld play with some sense of urgency, they should be able to win as they're the better team on the both sides of the field.

So far I am on the wrong side of things.

    Spain leading 2-1
    Maccabi leading 2-1
...and still no score in the GAIS game nearing the 80 minute mark.

    Let's go Arminia +120!

EDIT: Figures...GAIS trailing 0-1 very late into the game...pathetic.

Sometimes when you think you know the books, they know you.

    this Spain/USA match is ridiculous.

Light problems twice, causing almost ten minutes of delays. Frequent yellow cards, and of course the lone red card on Gomez which came 63 seconds in.

    I'm watching on ESPN360.

I likely would not have been able to get in Leicester City after this because of the delays.

Looks like Spain is still leading 2-1, with only 10 players, I would be quite happy with that at this moment.

Meanwhile...some good chances from Arminia...need them to win the game so I can rebound off this GAIS loss.

GOL Arminia! Leading 1-0 in the first half. I think I'm gonna stick to trailing the experts here instead of making my own picks.

Does anyone here like Nacional +1.5 @ Benfica?

Last time around Nacional (at home) beat Benfica 3-1. And before that, the two matches played at Benfica both ended in a draw.

Seems like a good choice, I'm just scared Benfica will carry on their form after destroying Everton 5-0.

Benfica are smoking teams at home, that 5-0 wasn't a one off, they have beaten teams 8-1, 5-0 and so on at home this season, Benfica are a totally different team to last season, fading Benfica at home is risky.

I stayed away, instead chose to follow Wilfords route with u2 in the Reading game. BTW, thanks for Arminia!
