Last game of the weekend to make some money on and i think West Brom have a great shout to climb a few places up the table tonight, while Southampton must be feeling that if this run of form continues, they'll not be long in this league.
West Brom
West Brom have started this season very well given the size of the club. Much like Newcastle, West Brom - who went up the same year - have really gotten to grips with this league. They play a flowing style of football that creates enough chances, backed by a stout defence.
Last week they lost right at the death to Newcastle, but played some really good football, anchored by Yusuf Mulumbu and with the second half sub outlet of Shane Long.
Southampton are going to struggle against a team who at home have been strong, winning 3 of 4 scoring 10, and with them using the full width of the pitch, we should see them dominate possession and attacking prowess tonight.
Southampton
The Saints have been playing some really good football this season, scoring goals and creating chances, but their problems are at the back, and so far the 16 goals allowed on the road have kept them way down the bottom of the table. Home form moves you up the table, but the ability to get results on the road keeps you in the league.
Last week they lost 2-1 to a Tottenham side that weren't at their best, but were clinical. The Saints just don't have the quality it seems, and it says a lot that their only win so far was against Villa, another side who look good for relegation.
Conclusion
The Saints created chances against Spurs last week but could only get one goal back and going on the road against West Brom, eager to avenge that last minute loss to Newcastle, i doubt they'll be able to contain Long, Odemwingie and co, not to mention a midfield packed with underrated talent.
Expect West Brom to win this game, scoring 3 at least in the process.
West Brom Win @ 8/11
West Brom TT Over 2.5 goals @ 2/1
