    Wednesday's [10/24] Ninja Plays

    [Champions League] Arsenal-Schalke Over 2.5 [-120]
So far in the group, both teams have scored & conceded in both matches to teams with far less fire power than the opponent they face today. Arsenal is dealing with some injury worries, but still maintain plenty of fire power with Podolski leading the attack. Schalke have a solid midfield attack to feed Huntelaar up front and present themselves with chances to score. The German side has scored at least one goal in nine of the ten competitive matches they have played in since the Bundesliga began in August. And dating back to last year's CL matches, they have scored in six of their last seven and conceded in all seven. Arsenal has just one clean sheet in seven competitive matches @ Emirates Stadium this season. Interesting to note that every match so far in Group B has gone over.

[Champions League] Zenit St.Petersburg-Anderlecht Total Corner Kicks Over 10.5 [+100]
Corners as I always say as a precursor are still a crapshoot, but again you can make cases for going for overs when you've got some attacking quality which is definitely what should be on display in this match. The home side especially is going to be eager for goals and a win as they have failed to secure points in either of their first two matches in group play. Their defense has been leaky with six goals conceded, so Anderlecht will have some opportunities if they push and that could ultimately lead to some corners. A large part of this could also depend on how the match progresses. Early goals that can lead one side to chase can often amp up the offensive pressure and lead to extra corners. That was on display in Zenit's last home match in this group when Milan struck for two early goals. Zenit chased the whole match and wound up with 13 corners by themselves. Anderlecht has no goals in this group and only a handful of shots on target, but the key of course here isn't shots on goal by pressure that works into corners and hopefully they apply some to help out the cause.

May have one additional corners prop play for the later matches as I look over any that are offered. Good Luck My Ninjas!

Seems like there should be more than one shot in this Arsenal-Schalke match with all the movement forward by both squads. Need that goal to crack it open sometime soon dang it.

Yeah the yellow card for a dive was a joke. Not sure it was a penalty, but probably even with the lack of shots could have had a goal. Need some early fireworks in the 2nd half. Adding this live at the half ..

Apparently PSG stopped shooting with a 2-0 lead. Was expecting more in the 2nd half in that one. They had eight shots on-goal in the 1st and none in the second. In other news, City still sucks!

Arsenal will level this @ 1-1 before it ends. I had BTTS in this one, but decide to go with the over and save some money on the price ... guaranteed.

next time an arsenal fan at work wants to take the piss out of Juventus fans like myself, ought to take a good hard look at themselves after results from the past week for them and say, "I wish we could win silverware and remain undefeated for an extensive period likeJuventus can"

[Copa Sudamericana] Atletico GO-Universidad Catolica Over 2.5 [-115]
2nd leg of this one with the winner advancing to the QFs. UC holds a 2-0 advantage from the 1st leg. The Brazilian hosts therefore must go for goals. They have not been great at generating goals on the road, but at home should have a chance to get on the board. They have tallied at leaste one goal in 12 of 17 @ home in all competitions this term. They also have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of those matches. This is a similar situation for UC to the last round where they carried a 2-0 lead into the 2nd leg away from home and lost that match 3-1, but won on aggregate with the road goal. Thus, I expect them to punish Atletico GO for any cavalier adventures offensively and go for that away goal that could be the nail in the coffin. Thus, I think goals could be on the plate for this one. Kicks off @ 5:30pm ET.

[CONCACAF Champions League] Santos Laguna-Toronto Over 2.5 [-110]
Go for goals again. Toronto FC has a long shot of qualifying still out of this group as they trail Santos Laguna by three points. They have to win 3-0 or score four goals or more and win by two. Both seem HIGHLY unlikely, but the chances are that the MLS side will be attacking to whatever the best of their ability is. For Santos Laguna, although a draw would do, they will likely be looking to try and rebound from a domestic league beating on the weekend. They are fielding a strong side & have scored 12 goals in three group stage matches with all three hitting for at least four goals. That included stealing a 3-1 win @ Toronto with two late, late goals. They also met in April in the KO stages with Santos Laguna crushing Toronto 6-2.
