[Champions League] Arsenal-Schalke Over 2.5 [-120]
So far in the group, both teams have scored & conceded in both matches to teams with far less fire power than the opponent they face today. Arsenal is dealing with some injury worries, but still maintain plenty of fire power with Podolski leading the attack. Schalke have a solid midfield attack to feed Huntelaar up front and present themselves with chances to score. The German side has scored at least one goal in nine of the ten competitive matches they have played in since the Bundesliga began in August. And dating back to last year's CL matches, they have scored in six of their last seven and conceded in all seven. Arsenal has just one clean sheet in seven competitive matches @ Emirates Stadium this season. Interesting to note that every match so far in Group B has gone over.
[Champions League] Zenit St.Petersburg-Anderlecht Total Corner Kicks Over 10.5 [+100]
Corners as I always say as a precursor are still a crapshoot, but again you can make cases for going for overs when you've got some attacking quality which is definitely what should be on display in this match. The home side especially is going to be eager for goals and a win as they have failed to secure points in either of their first two matches in group play. Their defense has been leaky with six goals conceded, so Anderlecht will have some opportunities if they push and that could ultimately lead to some corners. A large part of this could also depend on how the match progresses. Early goals that can lead one side to chase can often amp up the offensive pressure and lead to extra corners. That was on display in Zenit's last home match in this group when Milan struck for two early goals. Zenit chased the whole match and wound up with 13 corners by themselves. Anderlecht has no goals in this group and only a handful of shots on target, but the key of course here isn't shots on goal by pressure that works into corners and hopefully they apply some to help out the cause.
