    Thursday's U-21 Ninja Plays

    [UEFA U-21] Italy-Liechtenstein Over 4/4.5 [-146]
High total, high chalk but worthy. When they met last Fall, Italy destroyed this squad 7-2, scoring all seven of their goals WITH A MAN DOWN. To show you their depth, one of their main goal scorers who had a hat trick in that match will start on the bench. Liechtenstein began this batch of group matches still in a giving mood by letting Hungary score four times back in June. In six group matches, they have allowed 26 goals. The Italians have scored 18 goals and conceded four. Their last match, they wound up drawing with Ireland 2-2. Playing at home and keen to rebound from the draw in their last match, the Italians could easily score five themselves if they are pushing. They have a lead of just one point in this group, but have played two less matches than Turkey. Even with some rotation ahead of their match with Ireland to finish the group next week, this looks like a spot for goals. If Liechtenstein gets on the board - we should have a chance to get over both totals here and even if they don't, perhaps Italy does it all.

I saw his name on the starter's list on the UEFA site. This is what they had:

Gabbiadini was not starting. He was the hat trick scorer last time.

    Last one.

    [UEFA U-21] Scotland-Luxembourg Over 3.5/4 [-135]
Scots need a win and whipped this side on the road last Fall, 5-1. In five of their six group stage matches, Luxembourg has given up at least four goals. They also managed at least one score in four of six. Will look at lineups to make sure the Scots have enough firepower in there ahead of their final match next week - but this is another where it looks like the home side could do all the damage if they are pushing hard.

Going to just do half a unit on it. Their leading goal scorer from the earlier matches is promoted up to the senior national team. Still thinki Luxembourg is poor enough that goals can be found, but his lack of presence might make some difference early.

Debated taking them -3. Guess I shoulda gone that way. This other draw looked good but a penalty late screwed it.
