    Why is the price on England drifting so much?

    I've been keeping an eye on the England line for a few days now. It was +100 give or take at most places earlier in the week and has been steadily shifting upwards since. I took it at +125 at Pinny last night thinking it was about as high as it will go. I log on this morning at it's +138!!

    Most places like 365,Hills, Laddies etc are still in the +110-+120 mark with Pinny being much higher. Pinny is a sharp book so the line conspiracy theoriests would think this means Sweden or the Draw is the play?

    The other day before the Poland v Russia game Lakerboy said "The game has been offline at Pinny for ages whilst they figure out who is going to win', I nearly wet myself I laughed so hard.

    I think England are the far superior team and Sweden is in a down period and only has 1 class player. England and Sweden do love to draw now so I may back the draw as well which with my England bet already will work out a bit better than -300 which is better than the double chance odds. I can't see England losing this one.

    My gut is saying the game will end a draw. 1-1 I think. However I can't overlook England being the much better team. England usually goes into major champs with several world class players, a bit cocky and thinking they can win it. This group seems a bit different, less world class players but younger a more hungry. The fact England have not beaten Sweden in the last 7 competitive matches means nothing for tonight's game. Trends like that don't mean anything in general but when you are talking about international teams with different players and probably over 10+ years it means nothing.

    Very strange. Not only Sweden +.5, but some books give now PK and look at the over/under @2.
    Something tells me not to bet E today. Try small on Sweden PK and France Over 2.5

    I don't think the o/u gives too much away other than that the books think it will be a low scoring affair. I would agree with them, I think the most likely scores in order of most likely to least likely in my mind are..

    1-0 England
    1-1
    2-1 England
    0-0

    i can remember WC2002 Sweden - england 1-1 and WC2006 Sweden - england 2-2 ... i am young so that's i have seen ...it seems like a draw again ,0-0 / 1-1
