Le Mans is ranked 17 out of 20, with 33 points right now, scoring 0,86 goals per game, letting 0,97 in.
Monaco is ranked 16 out of 20, with 34 points, scoring 1,03 goals per game, letting 1,34 in.
Looks not very impressive right?
Sure, but Monaco got a new investor, a russian billionaire named Dmitri Rybolowlew, who bought a lot of new players during the mid-season break (Subasic, Kagelmacher, Wolf, Tzavellas, Barazite, Toure, etc...). The team overall has the by far highest market value in the Ligue 2, and the current rank does not befit their high quality. The initial problem was, that they were relegated to the second division last year, resulting in having to build a brandnew team. Most players left the club, and more than 20 were new, most of them around 18-21 years old, and extremely unexperienced, so they had a very difficult and rough start.
The last 6 games did show the potential of Monaco, 4 wins, 2 ties, and 0 losses.
Le Mans on the other hand in their last 6 games had 1 win, 2 ties, and 2 losses.
Todays game is a BIG game for both of them, even more for Monaco, because they don't belong where they are right now, and want to move up as fast as they can, another relegation would cause a massive desaster...
I think Monaco will try to win this game, and I am seeing a 50-60 percent chance of winning there.
Right now we get +210 for a Monaco win at pinnacle, which is great value. I got them a bit earlier @+215, and I am playing this bet with 3.5/10 units.
