While Jol juggles his strike force, Dalglish may be tempted into acclimatising more of his fringe squad members into the first team. As well as Rodriguez, there are Jon Flanagan and fellow youth product Martin Kelly, both of whom got regular games last season, to consider. Uruguayan defender Sebastian Coates is looking for English league experience, while the rejuvenated Glen Johnson and Steven Gerrard are still coming back to full fitness.
With four wins out of six, Liverpool's away form is more impressive than at home, and this is in large fact due to constancy in midfield. The partnership of Lucas Leiva and Charlie Adam has started every away game thus far. In the absence of Gerrard, this allows a combination of screening defensive work (Lucas, who was Man of the Match against Manchester City in that role) and long-range passing.

Lazio-Novara 1

Lazio coach Edy Reja has demanded a huge improvement from his players against Novara tomorrow after their disappointing display in the Europa League in midweek. The Romans were held to a goalless draw at Vaslui on Thursday to complicate their hopes of progressing to the round of 32.
That result has left Lazio needing to better Vaslui's result in the final round of Group D action on December 14.
"I expected a different performance from my players at Vaslui," Reja said. "It's a disappointing result because we had our chances to score and we didn't make them.
"But there is still one game left to play and we will try to do everything to advance to the next round.
"Now we must turn our attention to the league.
"I expect my players to show more character against Novara and win on Monday."
Last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Juventus ended Lazio's nine-game unbeaten run and dropped the Biancoceleste to fourth place.
Rivals Novara go into the encounter at the Stadio Olimpico in buoyant mood.
Attilio Tesser's side followed last weekend's 2-1 victory over Parma with a come-from-behind 3-2 triumph at Catania in midweek to progress to the last 16 of the Coppa Italia.
"My players have shown a lot of heart and determination in our last two games," Tesser said. "I have to congratulate them.
"We now face a difficult game at Lazio but I know my players will give their best."
Novara have yet to win on the road in Serie A this season and lie 18th in the standings, one point behind safety.

... In form Liverpool travel to Craven Cottage in London to take on Fulham on Monday, and must feel confident of picking up all 3 points. Although Fulham are usually a tough side to beat at home, they've lost their last 2 at home and may be vulnerable.
The Cottagers have only won a single game at home this season, with 3 draws and two defeats.
Worryingly for Fulham, the 2 defeats have been their last two home games; 3-1 defeats to both Everton and Tottenham.
Boss Martin Jol will know that he has a task on his hands against Liverpool, who after a bad start have really got their act together, and are currently undefeated in 8 league games.
