    But then you wouldn't need to wish for wealth, because you could print it.
    But then the books wouldn't want to take your bets anymore?

    What if you wished for a billion dollars
    but then Ben Bernanke turned on the printing presses and made us a bannana republic with hyper inflation and made your money worthless?

    What if you wished for the cure of all diseases and people lived to 900 years old, 800 years like weak decrepit skeletons?

    What if you were immortal, but a meteor hit the earth and everybody else died in like 50 years? That's a pretty lonely eternity?
