    Nicky, Rod and other Montrealers

You might want to go Greek or Italian instead of Chinese. Chicken deemed unfit for human consumption by US authorities was being snuggled into Montreal for use by the Chinese. Doubt this is an isolated incident, prolly been many successful smuggles before they were caught.

Task force seizes truckloads of frozen chicken

CORNWALL - Approximately 1,800 pounds of frozen chicken destined for the Chinese market in Montreal was seized by the Cornwall Regional Task Force recently.

Two Cornwall men have been arrested in connection with the seizure, which occurred on Feb. 4 at the Cornwall point of entry and at a residence the city.
Const. Jean Juneau, media relations for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, said the men were attempting to cross the border from U.S. in two vehicles containing boxes of frozen chicken breasts, marked "unfit for human consumption" by U.S. authorities.

After a search warrant was issued, police found more meat at the residence.
Juneau said the men have not yet been charged, as police are still determining appropriate charges through various levels of government.

"It's not a usual case with us," Juneau said.

He said he expects charges to be laid in the next week, as investigators are set to meet with the Crown prosecutor on Feb. 23.

The Cornwall Regional Task Force consists of RCMP, the Canadian Border Services Agency, Ontario Provincial Police, Ministry of Revenue and Cornwall Community Police Service.

Thanks sickler. no joke, I was actually going to order me some chinks tonight for the Heritage Classic. i had a large craving for Egg Rolls, Pineapple Chicken, some spare ribs, and Chicken Fried Rice. i love my chinks.. if it wasn't so fattening, i'd be eating it 5x a week. The Chinaman there knows my voice. I'm a regular there. as soon as he hears my voice, he always says.. hello my friend, Dinner #4 for 2... It will be there in 30 min..

I will lay off for awhile. too bad cause i really had a craving for it.

    Thanks

It's not the chicken you have to look out for, its the dog, cat and horse meat that will get ya!

Every Chinese restaurant in the world does this. It is not surprising.

That being said, I went to a Chinese restaurant downtown about a month ago, and on the menu was the worst typo for the situation.

Instead of Chicken it said Chinken.

I need to go back and take a pic because it was so ridiculous.

Yeah best to lay off until the investigation goes deeper into exactly where in Montreal these chickens were/have been going. The food inspectors will be making their rounds.

The best chinese food in town is down the street from me. I'm a regular there, wouldn't want to live without it.
