'Margaritaville' singer Jimmy Buffett dies at 76

Sad week for rock and roll.
One of my favorite guitarists Jack Sonni, now Jimmy Buffet.

Wow. That really sucks. Went to one of his shows back in 2017 in Orlando. Great time.

A good person he was, as far as I am aware.

Though I never cared for his music - sounds like children's music with adult lyrics.

It was for Happy go lucky, hippie type, carefree and often wealthy type persons.

Hopefully his restaurants die with him. I still have no idea how the Margaritaville on the Vegas strip remains open

    It's a 'cheeseburger' in 'paradise'.

I think people go there for the margaritas and not for the food.

He seemed to be a guy who had a ton of fun working.
I guess he's now looking for that lost shaker of salt.

    True that.

Across from the poker room in Mohegan Sun Jimmy has a restaurant, you always find several middle aged woman drinking and dining.
The hamburgers are tasty, I love seafood, some of the items are tasty as well.

The rest of the menu is standard, he's not stingy with the portions which is important, and there's always plenty of shakers of salt on the tables.

My analysis, all things considered I rate Margaritaville not quite a 'B', a solid B-

I've been to his LV joint a couple of times, it's totally different than the his Mohegan Sun place.

2004 was when I first set foot in Margaritaville on the strip. There was ass crawling all over the place. This was long before all the new casinos everywhere. Stardust was still a spot. I don’t know how busy it is now but I do Jimmy made a helluva living off playing slap ass for 50 years.

Now Gary Wright (Dream Weaver) died yesterday, he was 80

Gary Wright dies aged 80 (msn.com)

Monday Steve Harwell (Smashing Pumpkins) died of liver failure due to alcoholism.

It's getting to the point where I'm going to have to create one tribute thread for rock and roll deaths.

    Jimmy Buffet's autopsy came back.
Acute and very rare skin cancer.
Report said Merkel Cell Cancer is five times harsher than melanoma, usually cause by sun exposure.

    Dream weaver - good song!

His two back up chick singers were hot back in the 70's by the way. Can see them in this video.
