I do not find the response ridiculous. Look at it from her point of view where whatever she says is going to be scrutinized so she is treading lightly. If question was what defines female or male, response would be chromosomes. What defines "women"? Is this a social construct?

I do not think biologicals males should be in female sports, or bathrooms. I do not think we should be teaching kids about sex and gender identity at young ages. I think this is all ridiculous. But, I do not think the answer itself should disqualify her from the position.

I'll go one step further tho and say I am not impressed by her. I've been listening on NPR to some of the hearings and at no point have I been impressed by any of her answers or thought-processes. She just doesn't come across as collegial or as an intellectual.
