    URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service New York NY
    429 AM EDT Sat Jul 20 2019
...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT SUNDAY...

    * HEAT INDEX VALUES...Up to around 110.

    * TIMING...Through 8 pm Sunday.

    * IMPACTS...Extreme heat can cause illness and death among at-
risk population who cannot stay cool. The excessive heat may
quickly cause heat stress or heat stroke.

    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

An Excessive Heat Warning is issued when the combination of heat
and humidity is expected to make it feel like it is 105 degrees
or greater. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time
outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting
clothing when possible, and drink plenty of water.

Seniors and those with chronic health problems or mental health
conditions are at increased risk. Homes without air conditioning
can be much hotter than outdoors.

Use air conditioning to stay cool at home or go to a place that
has air conditioning. Check on vulnerable friends, family members
    and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke
is an emergency! In cases of heat stroke call 9 1 1.

It everywhere bro. My ass almost fell out a few days ago demo’ing a large concrete patio. Had crazy muscle cramps and started throwing up by 12 or so, lol..

Backed off the after hours partying rest of week, took more precautions far as Gatorade/water and eating some fruit in morning and did fine Thursday and Friday.

Heat doesn’t usually bother me so much but guess it kinda came out of nowhere and caught me off guard the 1st day! Lol. Typically by now we have had a miserable 10-15 day stretch like this but 1st time it really gotten all that hot this year.

Won’t happen again!! Good news it not supposed to last long, next weeks forecast looks fantastic w temps back down in the mid-high 80s w less humidity.

OK Icon, put away the sarcasm hat now.
Yes, there is heat and humidity here in the northeast most every summer, just not like this.
Usually it's barely tolerable, this weekend it's beyond that, it's brutal, like 10 degrees higher than any heat indices I've ever encountered here. It's all good though, I like a good wise ass, I'm a big wise ass myself.

Humidity is brutal down here even on a 90 degree days much less around a 100 .
But it finally cooled down here , 84 high today .
Last year was hot as fukkin balls , this year besides 10 days , no so much .

Minny, if I wanted a girl that's hotter than this weather that barely wears any clothes and gets drunk easily I'd stay home with my wife.

And you got it backwards, heat kills I can't stand to sweat, I live for winter, the colder and snowier it is the better.

it's the natural order of things that people die in heat waves. this one, although annoying because if affected horse racing for one thing, isn't that bad. just stay in.
