I don’t suggest hiring anyone to do this for you. Nobody is going to care as much about it as you and once you get into it, it’s actually a lot of fun doing it yourself and you learn a lot. Lexington law is awful. I dropped them after getting nothing removed in four months and got things off my report myself almost immediately. . Do your research on each thing on your report (google the company ‘late payment’ and credit removal, etc) and look for tips on how to handle and what’s worked in the past. I raised my credit score about 300 pts in a 1-2 year span so can be done. Some places don’t budge. Some places will if you call them a few times and say you’re going to keep calling and tie up their employees and request all types of proof of debt over and over again. They won’t explicitly say they will do it for you but after annoying them enough it will disappear next time you check your report because it costs them money to keep talking to you and costs them next to zero to just remove it. Just keep eye on report and have alerts set up and don’t harass them after they removed it. Also A few things on my report I got removed by loopholes in the law and contesting through credit bureau. It’s all out there if you google and read the threads. Everyone joking on this thread but there’s probably lots of guys here that can use the advice so giving serious answer.

Also if you have bad credit for student loans. You can often get the loan company to retroactively grant you forbearance which removes late payments just call and ask. Good luck.

    The maffia

I could help you out as I'm connected but knowing you, you would end up at the bottom of the ocean, dead.

GL though with those other legal companies.

Like a couple of posters above said, companies that advertise fixing your credit are either scams or are asking you to pay for something you can do yourself. Never use another company. Bad idea.

Just do research. Dispute anything negative that’s on any of the major 3 reports. Do it multiple times and probably 50-60% will get taken off. Many of the rest will carry an - under dispute - tag for as long as it stays on your credit.

Time is also your best friend. If you can stay away from CC’s, higher interest loans, cash advances, etc. for a few years and only purchase things with your own funds without going further into debt, your credit will get better all by itself. If you can’t control debt and CC’s you’ll get in an endless bad credit cycle you’ll never get out of.

My ex had tons of credit card debt and it was all in my name. She was supposed to pay it off in the divorce decree but never did. That was about a decade ago. I let a lot of it go, but it’s off my credit report now.

Luckily I had my car and house paid off so I haven’t had a credit card (other than the debit card linked to my checking account) in 10 years. It’s a great way to live if you can handle it. I remember at one point after my divorce credit score was in the low 500s. Last time I checked it was close to 800.

    Good luck!
