Anyone recently get a Home Equity Loan?

if so what kind of rate are we looking at? Did you use a small percentage for gambling?

I think HELOCs are around 5.5-6% right now due to the Fed rate increase. Might have better luck with a cashout refi

Funny story is that CashCall Mortgage has been advertising cash outs to "Buy the Bitcoin Dip"

How much concrete are you getting?

That is a really big price.

    Demo involved?

Also, HELOC is not the way to go for that amount of money. And, The IRS might not except you writing off the interest starting this year. Language was changed quite a bit with the new tax law.The interest rate on HELOC's will be going up a 1/4 point 2 or 3 times a year as they have been for the last year already. Just don't do it.

That means the rate will be quite high.

Either way, not the way to go Otters. Gotta be careful man.

How about the 8k? Why so much. I build for a living. That is a high number.

Wow, what a bunch of slimy crooks. If that is true they are coming dangerously close violating rules on giving investment advice.

Don’t do it. You are going to get bad interest rate and it is a poor investment. Why build a b-ball hoop for a white kid? Get him a football and teach him to be a punter. Just saved you 8k and years of lying to some kid that he is the next Steph Curry.

I'm seeing about 5% for 10 year term. For a fixed rate. Does that sound about right? I guess my question is what would I do take a 15 k loan and about 150-175 a month for 10 years or withdraw Roth ira gold of about 15 k.

I guess this is my dillema.

Really would only use about 1k for gambling. So just forget about that gambling aspect

Most here don’t own a home. Those that do are sharp enough to not need it for gambling
