    Can Someone Please Explain Cardi B To Me.....?

    I admit I'm outta the loop with this music.......but where is the talent? Are people gonna be singing this to themselves in the shower in 20 years, or at karaoke? Is it even music?

    Don't even get me started on Kendrick Lamar.

    I find it depressing.

    I try to stay away from the pop charts as much as I can.

    New music I add to my collection is by researching indie lists... festival lineups... new musical express... friend recommendations... AND Shazam when in doubt.

    Cardi B is a former stripper turned rapper. She's part of the you call me a sloot, i'm going to own it movement. Her hit single "Bodak Yellow" is a flow taken from Kodak Black in "No Flocking". The best way I can describe this is when WWE wrestlers steal wrestling moves from Independent Wrestlers and claim they originated it or modified it. Kind of like Harry Nilsson doesn't get much credit for "Without You" as much as Mariah Carey. I haven't really heard Cardi B's music, so I can't really tell you if she will last at the top. But expect BBYMUTHA to be the next big thing.
