    John Kerry was interviewed yesterday on the subject and was defending the TPP. Saying it will give better
    wages/ benefits for workers overseas, give them the right to form unions, control emissions from their
    factories and allow us to tell them how to treat their people.

    I found that last part disturbing. Who are we to tell other countries how to treat their people? Are we pushing
    civil rights around the world disguised as trade deals?

    Also heard that if a union or environmental group from the US that causes the company to lose money, the
    company could sue our govt for lost revenue which will put the taxpayer on the hook.

    IDK, there's so much shady shit going on in that deal, like secret stuff that can't be disclosed for 4 years.

    Or when all the sites that people watch streaming movies.

    You think your cellphone company couldn't turn over your phone records fast enough? That was when there was a rubber stamp court that delayed things. No warrants this time if MPAA petitions your ISP.

    TPP will also make it illegal for you to unlock your phone (ie: move it between carriers without paying them to unlock it) or jailbreaking an iphone or ipad.

    I still don't know what TPP is. You guys haven't done a good job of informing the dumb public what this means. The last time this was bumped was over 2 weeks ago. So is this situation over? If it isn't, what direction is it headed?

    Wonder why they picked New Zealand to sign it? Probably because we'd create the least fuss down here. There's going to be a reasonable sized protest by the sounds though.

    Great turn out at the protest, anyone that wants to see some NZ culture leading a protest could easily find a video of the hikoi down our countries main street.

    Interesting to see if you Americans sign off on it now, none of the leading contenders for your upcoming election want it so it's all on Obama slipping it through before he's out (Hillary might though).

    Anyway, read up on it folks this matters. Sanders and Trump the main advocates for no TPP who are both hot topics on this board.
