John Kerry was interviewed yesterday on the subject and was defending the TPP. Saying it will give better
wages/ benefits for workers overseas, give them the right to form unions, control emissions from their
factories and allow us to tell them how to treat their people.
I found that last part disturbing. Who are we to tell other countries how to treat their people? Are we pushing
civil rights around the world disguised as trade deals?
Also heard that if a union or environmental group from the US that causes the company to lose money, the
company could sue our govt for lost revenue which will put the taxpayer on the hook.
IDK, there's so much shady shit going on in that deal, like secret stuff that can't be disclosed for 4 years.
