Bobby this has to be a joke, 10 an hour to make some phone calls? What kind of food can you order for me? This shit makes no sense

So I want to order some grub from nice restaurants, I contact you with minor details (like I want fire house) and you make it happen and someone else pays you 10 bucks for doing that for me??

Lol, this job is the place to go orders?
Wow it would sure be a shame if someone with a criminal background or no references did that.

So somebody calls me for food, and then I call the restaurant? Seems inefficient.

I went to doordash(dot)com, entered my address as requested but the site reports that there are no restaurants in my area. There are probably 50 restaurants within a few miles of me?? Maybe the site is still in beta?

Looks like you will end up paying apron 30% more for your food to have it delivered.

(No this as not an order I placed. Got this from Yelp)

I don't know how a company like this could be successful? They are making themselves be a middleman when no middleman is necessary for a transaction.

If I want takeout, I call and order takeout. I don't need to tell my order to a complete stranger and have that person call it in while they get paid to do it?

There has to be more to this or something I'm missing.

They have drivers that bring the food to your home. How else you gonna get Taco Bell delivered to your front door?

Ok that makes sense. So this company is making money on being a delivery device.

I wonder what the surcharge is of simply placing the order? $10 an hour how many orders do you need to place to make that?

Check out the picture I posted above. For that one there was a $6 deliver fee. I don't know if that is the standard fee?

And all of the food is marked up through their service. Like I said earlier you end up spending 30% more, not including whatever you tip the driver.

I can see myself using this on Saturday or Sunday after drinking all day watching football.
