3rd world call centers ....I feel like breaking something

Why when you call amazon or target they connect you with somebody across the globe who can't speak english very well or handle anything not in their company script ... I kinda feel bad it's not tarru's fault in manilla but jeez it was cool like the 100th time but that 101 x really got to me ....and yes before anyone asks I am MAD What company started this shit First I can remember is sprint penny pinching motherfukkers

I called up ebay/paypal and was put on hold for 2 hours. I did not hang up to see how long they would put me on hold for and it was 2 and a half hours. If you need to talk to amazon support use the live chat. If you need target support you need to email TGS.SocialMedia@target.com

feel much better now ... I would love for somebody to explain to me why they do that because you could easily pay somebody minimum wage here in the states to sit at a cubicle and answer phones they must be paying like 3 bucks an hour or something for this to make sense.

Average wage at an India call center is $1.20-$1.30 (US) an hour.

Dell was my first experience with Indian call center people like 12 years ago. My computer had some minor issue with it, I don't remember, and they kept asking for my address, zip code, phone number, all this stuff before they did anything (why?). Then their immediate answer was for me to reboot my entire hard drive. Any alternative answer was read (poorly) off of a sheet, and had no relevance to what I was trying to do.

I rarely get mad to where I'm shouting at somebody, but I couldn't control my anger at this poor guy. I kept yelling "Gimmie a fukking American!!" over and over again.

Thankfully the internet got bigger, and now I can just look up my problem. Haven't dealt with anyone's CS in years.

The Pilipinos are my friends, but calling Sirius or Uverse is just brutal when you are trying to get a bill adjustment or a new contract price.

Zappos.com did that very thing. All King's English speaking Americans. I get a good amount of my clothes from there now.

What irritates me is when you get a Indian call center and the dude on the phone says his name is "Bob"... I want to scream BullS**t, I'd believe your name is Raj or Ajay but I know for certain it sure as hell isn't Bob!!

In part. But also because callers can move on and explain their issue, rather than get hung up with

"Did y'all say Sardeesh? Or is it Sandeep? What the hell kind of name is that?"

Customers suffer always when it comes to making an extra buck, its operators who can't speak decent English should have been boycotted long ago.

I got a call from "Jimmy Carter" from India a few months ago to switch back to Dish Network. I asked if Ronald Reagan was working there today and he said "I do not know sir, I just got here"

Problem is, it's just more than a couple of bucks. If they're public, and you own their stock, you love to see them save money like that, good citizens of the world be damned.

I'm guilty of outsourcing too, but it's just to get a bunch of shitwork done. I'd never put a client through that.

I'm with you. I called xfinity comcast yesterday and tried to upgrade my service. First they told me I couldn't use my TiVo box with Comcast Cable and I had to have a Comcast cable box, which is a flat out lie. Then I asked if I could get a CableCard and he said "yes, of course", so I asked him if I could simply plug it into my TiVo and use it instead and he said "yes" I just laughed.

Then, I was trying to upgrade for faster internet and a few cable channels as we don't have cable at all. The plan was $84.99/month online, he told me $79.99, so I was all ready to sign up. Then right before we're finished he says "so, we're all set for $84.99/month Um, no! You got me on the hook for $79.99/month, he says "yes, that price isn't available in your area" And you're just now seeing this? Why do I know more about your job than you, fukking moron!

Lastly, he tried talking me out of the plan I wanted THREE TIMES, to go with a plan for $69.99 that was much slower internet and many less channels. Good god, I can't stand these fukking call centers. If I ever go "postal" it won't be in a post office, it will be in a call center.

The funny thing was that when he said "Jimmy Carter", I stopped him midway through his broken English sentence and said "Wait, your name is Jimmy Carter?" He said "Yes, sir", and again I said, "Jimmy Carter?!?" to which he again replied "Yes Sir" Then I asked him about Reagan.
