Bill Miller is mainly around the San Antonio/Austin area. Decent BBQ for a chain.

Austin has much better choices..Franklins if you don't mind waiting.

    Never heard of it.

Has only average yelp reviews though.

    Some of the bad reviews:

"Bill Miller is the worst BBQ you can get in town"

    "
Not coming back to this location any time soon. Recieved 2 tacos full of fat and arteries. Literally"

    "
just waited 20 minutes in the drive thru for two orders of chicken tenders. i had to go back inside for ketchup. then, when i get home, i get a half assed order of chicken."

    "
It's pretty pathetic. The brisket was poor quality with no smoke ring..the bbq sauce looked like a science experiment gone bad..potato salad ok, pinto beans bland. Had 2 meat combo cost about $14...waste of money"

    "
Brisket was unremarkable. Cabbage was not fresh in coleslaw. Not particularly clean."

    "
Service sucks!! Chicken was dry & hard. Rice was soggy. Omg no everything was just wrong."

    "
It really isn't that great. It's like the Taco Bell of BBQ. I prefer Rudy's or Smokey Mo's"

    "
Blech! Is this what passes for BBQ in these here parts? Seriously, this was some of the worst BBQ on a soggy bun I've ever had. The brisket is chewy with hunks of fat all marbled through. I wonder what grade of meat they use. Grade D - Edible?"

Yelp is overrated as anybody could post reviews even if you don't you eat there competitive store owners and agenda driven people drive down ratings or increase ratings

I look at Yelp reviews when I eat out and it's been pretty spot on for me. Shit restaurants have shit reviews and good restaurants had good reviews.

    It's pretty good. Not great.

You'll never find your best BBQ at a chain. Like Aaron said, Franklins is far superior.

My personal all time fave is a joint in Arlington. If you're going to be close to the metroplex, let me know and I'll get you the info.

    Luling City Market is awesome.

Killen's BBQ if you are in the Houston area is a good one.

Salt lick is awesome! Ask for their burnt ends.

Most the fat fukks here would like that's it's unlimited BBQ.

bill miller very marginal........ for a chain, Rudy's is ok and better than BMB; in austin, there used to be a place called art's rib house that rivaled the salt lick, and a place called the iron works.......

each major texas city has a handful of "famed" bbq joints that are generally considered top notch........

    South Carolina?

    Tennessee?

I'd say Tennessee for the fact they lead the nation in heart disease/failure!
