James Traficant is gone ((( RIP
Was gonna post about his tragic passing yesterday but damned penn St. hit me below the belt so I was out for a while.
James was the most honest, outspoken and fearless member of US Congress. Spent some time in federal panitantiary after some crooked feds fabricated case against this good man after he demanded thorough independent investigation of Murrah federal building bombing.
He was 73.

I am sure that Pronk thinks that there was a conspiracy behind his conviction though. Which is probably why he even bothered to make this thread.
By rebelling I meant speaking out, willing to talk. Dont condone criminal behavior. Are you suggesting that Pronk might think the "accident" was not exactly a one man ordeal.
I am sure there are people out there who don't have a clue who this guy is, so HERE is a read on who really was.
Yeah, loved listening to the guy, but didn't always practice what he preached, and you lose credibility that way.
When I was younger, I watched Rush Limbaugh's show on TV (I said when I was younger -- I know better now), and there was a segment called "Our Favorite Democrat", and it was always Trafficant. They'd show him going on some crazy rant that always made a lot of sense regardless of the pathos behind it. Always a great listen.

The Mahoning County Coroner's Office has made a preliminary ruling that former Valley Congressman Jim Traficant likely died of positional asphyxia.
According to Forensic Pathologist Dr. Joseph Ohr, an autopsy completed Monday shows no evidence of a cardiac event leading up to the tractor accident that critically injured Traficant on Tuesday evening at his Greenford farm.
Dr. Ohr also says the former Congressman had no crushing injuries to his body.
However, it is possible that Traficant was pinned where he could not breath, which is more commonly known as positional asphyxia.
The coroner's office says it wants to investigate further by examining the tractor and the EMS report that was taken at the time of the incident. It would also like to talk to Traficant's trauma surgeon before making a final ruling on the cause of death.
