I'm in need of a paint job, and have heard very mixed reviews on the quality of the work I really appreaciate the it

Paint is all a out the prep. 90% prep 10% squirt. You get what you pay for, which is little to no prep. If you're dumping it in less then 2 years then have Maaco squirt it. Single stage will turn faster then the bc/cc, so I would do the latter. All maaco's quality will not be the same because the pride of the workers will vary state to state.

If your vehicle is worth keeping. Then find a painter who does side work but has access to a pro booth. If you negotiate and let him know your expectations it will be as fair as you'll get for your money.
