    Moving to Vegas

I gotta job prospect, Saturday. May or may not get the job, however.
    Any advice?

Nonsense. This is the place to be.

Darrel, don't play house games. Stay away from hard drugs. Sky's the limit.

    Good good good.

I've also heard to get a players card, at the nearset casino I live by.
    Did an online TAM card.
Post #6 looks promising. Already getting some job training from posts 2,4 and 6 were kind enough to give me some free job training.

Yeah, don't do that. Just makes you closer to being a degenerate. You "work" (throw money away gambling) to get a bunch of shitty perks that are barely worth 2% of what you blew.

If you have your TAM card, you'll need a health card too, which you have to do when you get here.

I took the TAM card online. I know I have to test for it when I get there.
I'm guessing I can't get the health card online.

You can I think, but you have to pick it up here anyway, so you might as well just wait.

Been here since 1986 and I STILL love it! Vegas isn't for everyone, but for me it's been a GREAT place to live for the past 27+ years.

I think you have to take a TB (Tuberculosis) test in order to get the health card.

    Other advice:

    1. Stay away from the machines
    2. If you gamble outside of sports, stick with Poker, Craps and Blackjack.
    3. Learn how to play poker. Did I mention poker?
    4. Since you will be working in the food and bev industry, make sure to get an industry card from the local restaurants/clubs that offer them. Blue Martini has an industry card and drinks are wayyyy cheaper for ya.
    5. Stay off Las Vegas Blvd as much as possible.
    6. Learn where the locals hang out and make some friends.

Judging by your point balance on SBR (How the fk do you get negative -51 balances? ) I'd say Vegas will be a horrible decision.

Las Vegas Blvd is "The Strip". It starts on the south end where the famous "Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" sign is and it ends at Freemont Street where "The Experience" is. Contrary to what many may tell you, Freemont Street is a lot of fun for everyone, even locals.

As far as driving goes, if you have to go to a casino on the strip, try to jump on Paradise Ave and the cut up to the strip when you see the casino you are going to. If you just take the strip the whole way there it can be a real nightmare.

Also, Vegas is the easiest town to learn. It's just a big grid system. All the main streets run North to South and East to West. All the main East to West streets (Charleston, Sahara, Desert Inn, Spring Mountain, Tropicana, and Flamingo) all run straight down to Las Vegas Blvd.

The North-East side of town is less desirable (More ghetto). The South-West end is better and so is Henderson.

If you want to come "badly" I think you should while you are still young. There's a ton of opportunity here for a young man like yourself. There will be lots of temptations too but self control is a great attribute that hopefully you'll learn quickly.
